Yes it's a bit too much but that's all I play tbh. Tried other games but I think is the adrenaline that gives you kick . And it's the same game with minor changes with updates but always differe t experience. Always. That's the fun of it. Try both they are so similar and different at the same time. UPDATE: It's been 6 months and I did nearly 600h in Rust. I got to admit it was challenging but I fell in love with it. So much more than just a shooter game. Combination of PVP, building (sensors, electronics, bunkers), raiding, NPCs, environment, player dramas/friendships makes this game so much fun and actually nearly perfect. It's not easy that's why is so much fun and addictive. I play solo and sometimes in vanilla servers with 600ppl when I feel I want real challenge or opposite solo monthly with 30 population to have relaxed time mild pvp in monuments with less cheaters and lovely ppl who will type GGs after you kill them. I love how emotional you can get and adrenaline rush in RUST makes you come back over and over. This is my favourite game now. At the moment I think is time to wait for Christmas offer and buy DayZ. I can't wait for the next game adventure. Thx again MG Rust Survival you made me buy an amazing game who literally got me back in gaming. 🤝

@@DonPavardenis Have you tried Dayz yet? Since it's winter sales on Steam I was thinking about buying one of these games. I'm leaning more towards Rust, but I'm not so sure. Do you have any suggestions?

Update: ​ @simoneerrichiello3306 Hi. Now I have nearly 1.2k hr on Rust. It's a very challenging game and I absolutely love it. DayZ (which I have around 30hr) which is not enough to make a decision yet. DayZ is way more immersive and realistic but slower pace and way more simpler than Rust. I feel DayZ needs more stuff to get me engaged. I feel that I liked tarkov more haha. But I bough all DayZ DLCs so I will try to discover more of the game though out next year. But what I've seen so far I choose Rust. In Rust there is hundred things you can do and loads learning. Also it keeps you engaged as it's real time. You can't just simply logoff like in DayZ and everything pause. You need to maintain your base, keep building, bringing resources, fighting ,making enemies and friends along the way. And constant worry as players lurking around your base as you sleep irl. Probably if you have not enough time DayZ is more suitable. As in Rust you need at least 3h a day minimum. Every day! haha 😂 Rust every wipe is not the same, brings you back and creates good memories. FacePunch creators keep bringing new stuff in game, new guns, new reworked world, constant bugfix, fighting cheaters etc.. so game is growing same as player count. Also I love PayToWin concept. Every base looks different with skins, decorations and different characters. That's how you support development. In Rust I made friends and had loads of laughs. I never had so much fun since WOW time in 2017.. Let it put it this way. My partner just bought 4060 Lenovo gaming laptop so she could play it with me :) If you ever decide to play Rust go solo low pop servers don't play official with 500 pop like I did lol. Still I will go back to DayZ. All 30Hr was very immersive and memorable. That's the update.

Dayz is the best overall game , rust has great ideas and a great sandbox map but the overall conclusion and outcome of the progression in the game is what sets it back , dayz is the goat

@@4Moth2Mellow0 if you play on servers with a population of 5 people sure, rust has different servers where you'll have very different outcomes. Rust also has more focus on mechanics which intrigues many more players for a good reason. I'm 25 but dayz is definitely an old timer's game or for people who don't want to go outside but roleplay like they're badass survivors in dayz.

@@slim._.g6136 bro ive been playing for less than a week and haven't starved since my first hour of playing. Move away from spawn location asap and try to beat up some zombies on the way for food without getting overwhelmed by them. Don't spend too much time in each building and push inland without circling back. You can make a fishing rod with 12 rags (rope) a stick and a knife, punch a chicken, walk under apple trees etc. starving should not happen after first few deaths. If you're watching videos like this I'm surprised you haven't bothered watching a dayz beginner guide if you're struggling to find food.

I died in Dayz because the servers perform so badly that you can't hit the opponent because the opponent is so laggy. Super game experience I recommend to everyone who also celebrates when you lose your 12 h account! :)

rust is 10x better and always has 3x the player count of dayz. oh and yea it's easier joining with friends, not easier playing as you try out high population servers, if you're playing both games on 0 population then dayz would be alot harder

Rust hands down, you can actually make bases and it is actually playable. Day Z is you running around trying to figure out how to put a jacket on and hold a water bottle then dying.

@DBOing. There's people everywhere! Loads of high pops. When you get good as a solo, you'll be able to take on zergs and win but that takes a bit of time. If I were you, I'd join a "looking for group" post. Better starting off with a team to get the basics down, then go your own way once you've got the hand of it. The enemies you make create epic stories. Revenge is always the best! You have to be 10 steps ahead at all times. You can be raided at any second, so figure out strategies for hiding loot. I do like dayz but I find it to be very laid back, too slow paced. Rust is just full of endless action and frustration, the goal in rust is to be the Alpha on the map. I'd get it if I were you, definitely worth it!

Rust you can build a base in one day . Dazy is to time consuming and boring = NO LIFE . Rust is a great game but if I were to change rust I would have more of an apocalyptic scenery like: Fallout 76. Rust doesn't even look apocalyptic. It looks like a bunch of fields and forest.
