the original steak and fries video is the one that won me to your channel. half the fun was watching Fred in the background going buck-nutty over a tree branch. the other half was that gorgeous tomahawk. oh yeah, my wife bought me your cookbook, I got a snowpeak firepit (the only one that's really available in the States), she bought me Livingston spun steel cookware and a Braai, and I made one of those cleaver knives from a blank (that I got from Etsy). The journey's been incredible. Cold oil chips/fries/whatever are a game-changer, your approach to cooking in the outdoors is a great permission slip to get outdoors more. We made this recipe from the book, sans wagyu fat and that monster tomahawk on the weekend. Flash fried whole garlic cloves (in skin) in the chip oil then finished them off on direct fire for the chimichurri, turned out epic!

Highlight of the episodes has become seeing what is on the screen during your intros. My knife skills are no where near yours Harry, would love your opinion on ‘pull choppers’? I use one whenever I want to chop something fine, and it’s so quick. Just found your channel, have a look at obtaining white sheets or some sheets of polystyrene to act as a light bounce to help out with shadows from your one direction light around the campfire. Literally clip the sheet onto a tree and it’ll improve the shot immensely. It’s a cheap way to have a better lit set, without having to set up more lights. :)

I got a meater meat thermometer as a Chrissy present last year. I love the fact has own double A battery charger in its own box and the app allows resting time. My roast pork and roast chicken has gone next level with it. Hope you enjoy as well. A gadget that won't be found at a PUB..
