Haha, you ain't lying about it being underwatched, @stevechrisman3185! Maybe the Flashback is too subtle for its own good. But I'm glad you found it helpful! Any specific parts you dug the most? Your feedback could help others find the hidden gems.

Just picked up one of these used for under 100 bucks at guitar center. Thanks for this video. Helped out a lot because I just took a chance on it after playing it for only 5 minutes at the store

@mefirstandthegimmiegimmies5160 Congratulations on the new purchase! You're going to love it! I've found a few "keepers" over the years, and this is definitely one of them. I am really glad to hear this video helped you in your journey. Have fun, Jason

Brilliant demo, i have bought and sold and bought back again and again 😂 im not selling it now. I preferred this Version 1 over the newer version 2 with Mash as the switches got stuck time and time again so thats why im sticking with the version 1 for good. It seems pedals built ftom years ago just last longer, all the new pedsls are so delicate 🤷🏼♂️ Btw loving the recent videos on Ted Greene 😊

Hey @AndrewMooreLearningLicks! Thanks for the awesome feedback! 😊 It’s great to hear that you’re sticking with the original Flashback. There's definitely something about the classic pedals that just feels more robust! I get what you mean about the newer versions; sometimes, simpler is better. I appreciate your support and I'm glad you’re enjoying the Ted Greene videos! Keep rocking, and let me know if you have any other favorites you’d like to see covered! 🎸✨

I have this pedal! Any idea what setting I should use to get the proper delay effect on Blaco Sabbath’s Heaven and Hell?

Excellent question! Let me check into that!

Can one record sound files on to the Flashback as well? Should be possible, no? Can those be saved “forever” or do I lose the samples once I unplug my board? Thanks!

I am not sure at the moment. I think the short answer is no but since you ask this great question I’m sure we could figure out a dirty hack to accomplish this. Let me think about this for a hot minute. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? While this is a feature-packed pedal, the function is not available in the manual.

I got the 2 x4 and it's a hot mess, really complicated and no adequate instruction available. I tried to register for support on the TC Electronics site but never got a confirmation email, and the "resend link" button is broken. I'd like to return the one i got and try this. Hopefully I won't need the support, this one looks much more functional and easier to use. Although I must say I'm a bit put off by TC Electronics so far.

I'm sorry to hear you've had a frustrating experience with the TC Electronic 2x4 pedal. It's always disappointing when a product doesn't live up to expectations, especially when the customer support falls short as well. I can understand your hesitation after those issues. The Flashback v1 featured in this video does seem like a great, more straightforward option. As an owner of the Flashback v1 myself, I've found it to be a very well-designed and intuitive delay pedal. The manual was clear and helpful for getting the most out of its features. While the 2x4 you purchased may offer more functionality, it sounds like the complexity and lack of support has been more trouble than it's worth. Returning it and going with the simpler Flashback v1 could definitely be the better choice, especially if you don't want to invest a lot of time intensively learning the ins and outs. I hope if you do end up getting the Flashback v1, you have a much smoother experience with both the product and TC's customer service. Please do let us know how it goes! Wishing you the best of luck in finding the right delay pedal for your needs. Happy picking! Jason

@@JasonCareyGuitar Thank you. I have about 3 more weeks to return it. I can see it has massive potential and I'd love to get a handle on it, so I'll see what happens. I just can't understand why it has to be such a mystery. It seems the delay effects that load in the MASH buttons have no relationship to the delay selector knob, but it's hard to even tell.

I’d love for TC Electronic to send me one so I can get my hands on it and review it!
@Illneverremember14 ай бұрын
@@JasonCareyGuitar One thing the reviewers or instructions never emphasis: The delay effects that are accessible via MASH buttons are separate from the dial selector. The MASH delays are assigned via the Tone print app. For weeks I thought the MASH buttons were modifying the delay I had selected on the dial. I though this because they describe the MASH buttons as expression pedals, and they do have that dual-function. Yes, I knew about Tone Prints, but I thought that was just an option that you had to set up, not what comes default. Now it all makes sense to me.

Oh yeah that’s a cool idea. I have a few old ones nothing too exciting but staples. Let me see if we can get one of those together.
