The Scrambler 400X is here. I have 525 miles on my Scrambler 400X and have had it for a few months. So, here is my review on how it's going so far.

My wife says the Triumph 400x is the best bike I've ever owned. She says the passenger seat is comfortable and the passenger pegs are at the right location. To me, it feels like a combination between a dual-sport bike and a Honda Monkey, but with 40 hp.

My wife is a big fan of this one as well! 😁 I am pleasantly surprised at how well the bike handles us both too!

Matt! The roads and the views you have where you live is breathtaking. Around here where I live you hafta deal with the crazy traffic. I'm jealous.

I love it out here Mike! Yeah, we don't have beaches, or massive rivers or a thousand and one lakes, but Utah offers some awesome Country in all directions!

I've owned a Scrambler 400X and ridden it for 3500 kms. The comfort and confidence it provides on the road are unparalleled. Seeing your experience after 9500 kms makes me even more excited about my own adventures.... :) Cheers from India!

Hey Sam!! Thanks for watching and for the comment, I really appreciate it! I agree, this bike is a lot of fun. My wife and I are going on 100 mile ride today so I will know even better how it handles with a passenger. I am really looking forward to it. Thanks again and greetings from Utah, USA!

I got the crash bars for my Speed from India. ZANA, arrived in CA in 7 days. Paid $140. Dealer wanted almost $800 installed!

Hi Matt. A while back I think before the new model TW 200 came out I think it was the 2023 you ask what people wish what kind of improvement Yamaha should make on the TW. There was fuel injection, 6 speed, more power, bigger tank with fuel gauge, Better sounding exhaust, more comfortable seat and on and on. I think Triumph was reading the comments and built the Scrambler 400X. Put some wider knobby tires on this thing and you have an improved TW 🐐 Just kidding, or maybe not...
@MOBStreet83Ай бұрын
Yep, that is exactly what I was thinking. Even the price isn't far off of what the TW is and the bike is a blast!!

Would love to be in Utah, but I love my 400x just the way you do - after 4000 km in the flat country of Denmark :-)

I have the exact same bike and love it. I would add the mirrors don't even vibrate on dirt roads, clear picture. Very nimble bike! I just got the crash bars, haven't installed them yet but they look high quality. There is a YT video on the install. There is also a YT video on switching from a 14T front sprocket to a 15T to get less revs at highway speeds. The bike id pretty zippy for a 395 pound 400 cc single. I agree with your assessment.

Did you get the crash bars from Triumph? I will also check out the sprocket! Thanks for the insight!

Matt, awesome video as always. I’m curious to see what your thoughts are about maintaining the scrambler in future videos. My Triumph bobber has been the most interesting bike I’ve ever had as far as maintenance goes. I also dig how your new Mobstreet hat matches your Triumph perfectly.
@MOBStreet832 ай бұрын
Thanks! I have had a good time with it so far. I am interested to see the service procedures for it as well. I've worked on a ton of bikes over the years and I wanna see how this goes. If you want one of those hats, I can make more of them!

I was ready to buy this until 2 local dealers wanted to add $1350 in fees above MSRP. Is this a Triumph thing? I bought my TW for MSRP plus 500 OTD. I just ordered a 45t rear, and stiffer fork springs for the TW......
@MOBStreet832 ай бұрын
Mine was $1700 more in fees! It's really jacked up. But, I've heard that some Folks are paying the same for TW's.

The KTM RC390 I wanted was ‘on sale’ for $4,800…out-the-door was $7K(!)🤬.

So, Matt. How long do you think it will be before you have 3 of the Scrambler 400X bikes in your garage to match the fleet of TW200's you've had? 😄
@MOBStreet832 ай бұрын
Hey Ed! I will always have my TW's. I like them cause my wife and kids can ride them and they like them too. I think one Scrambler is good for now.......😁 For now.

Nice video...do you think it could be better than Bonneville T100 in bad roads? I Bought Scrambler 400x, my first moto but I love Bonneville in the future....but the roads in Sicily are terrible, full of potholes...and perhaps this bike is better than Bonny ....and I should keep it
@MOBStreet832 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the comment and watching! I don't think it would better than a Bonneville. I do think that the Scrambler is a bit better for harsher terrain though. I would see how this one feels for a while and make your decision from there. Or, buy the Bonneville and just have both. 😁

Hey Matt , do you think the bike could be lowered ? I am the same height as you and I’m comfortable on my tw but this bike may be my next
@MOBStreet83Ай бұрын
Hey John! I am sure it can be.....somehow. The rear suspension is adjustable and that might help a bit. However, with how popular this bike is already, all over the world, I think we are going to see a lot of aftermarket mods for it.

There you go again, lacking passion and enthusiasm. All the reasons you listed is why I bought my little GS six years ago. This Triumph is a better bang for the buck for sure. By the way, can you turn off the ABS on that? With all the rider controls it has I would assume so. Anyway, beautiful bike, man, glad you're enjoying it as much as you hoped you would! Hasta...
@MOBStreet832 ай бұрын
Dang, I try to do better next time! Yeah, you can turn it off when you use off road mode! 😁 We need to set a time to ride my friend!

I’ve had my Condor 150 ( Grom clone ) to the top of Mount Lemmon twice, I think that’s 9,300’. Both times I was the fastest thing on the mountain.
