Just like in Russia, in Canada that would be one awesome truck. You could get to almost anywhere. The Sherp has been doing a lot here and probably will be around for awhile. Nice to see that the Russians are not building a truck for anything other than what a truck was built for. NICE

Put a living unit on this and you'll have the ultimate off-road 6x6 motorhome. This is what I like about Russian machinery. They can't design for shit if you see their cars but they excel in building badass rugged machinery which doesn't need roads and is able to go anywhere, anytime

I agree, it has a small cabin for a driver and an 'operator' and is seriously over engineered weighing over 2.5 times the maximum carrying capacity. If I didn't know better I'd say this is designed for carrying lots of ammunition and pulling a large gun with a driver, controller and probably an armed escort vehicle. It's not for going camping.

There isn't any aspect of this hugely capable truck and it's habitation module that hasn't been extensively well considered before, during and after its inclusion. Designed and constructed to travel to and operate in the most remote areas and in the most extreme and challenging conditions and environments, this truck is unequalled! A masterpiece of design, engineering and construction excellence, this will be the forerunner of more capable and accommodating expedition and support vehicles!

Looks like there is - I don't see a passthrough between the cab and the sleeper. If this truck is supposed to work in the Arctic, I can't understand why this wasn't done - you really don't want to get outside in -60c.
@DartXL Жыл бұрын
@@smpopov For a work machine there is more comfort than one would expect. And those who refuse to get out in the right situation (checking power lines as mentioned in the video for example) because you simply “don't want to get outside in -60c” are not hired to work in such harsh places.
@smpopov Жыл бұрын
@@DartXL Have you ever experienced -60C yourself? Opening a door to your living space at such temperature is going to make it instantly near-uninhabitable. That's why houses in the far north or Russia and the nordic countries have a small vestibule, like an air lock when you enter a house. It's not just about not wanting to step out, it's about not wanting to open that door every time and venting the heat to the outside, for any trivial matter.
@DartXL Жыл бұрын

This is no apocalyptic truck. This is a highly specialized vehicle for one single task and not much more. It is an arctic exploration vehicle, to drive in the far away frozen regions. An apocalyptic truck would be something like a man kat or the sort, comverted into a mobile home. Or even better for the smaller pockets,a gaz 66 with a carwvwn attachment in the back. It can go far away into wilderness and it uses a basic unexpesnive to maintain old tech.
