Our first reaction to a Pitch Meeting and of course it had to be with Twilight. Ryan George nailed it out of the park on this one. We might have to check into Robert Pattinson's remarks towards the franchise as many of you mentioned you was not thrilled with it. Ryan was pretty much spot on here. Twilight had some moments, but more bad than good.

There is a series of short videos called 'The storyteller's new voices of Twilight saga'... It dives deeper into the past of some of the characters like Alice, Jasper, Esme, the twins, etc. & some of them are really good, you guys should definitely react to them... Also there is a parody of this series called 'vampire suck' ... its hilarious 😂😂

The sad fact is the book brings up a lot of the questions people who only watch the movies have also, but don't make the story any better in the process. The only way the overall concept of Twilight could work was for Edward and Jacob to learn not to treat Bella like dirt, Bella to not like and/or date them when knowing how toxic their actions are, and for Bella to have more of a personality and not hate herself so much. And that's just the overall concept, not the little details.

Don’t forget Bella’s own toxicity herself! Being overly-attracted and to toxic people is a major 🚩, incredibly psychologically unhealthy and worrisome, and unfortunately toxic in its own right. (But that’s just in addition to and adding to the quote accurate points you already stated 🙂)

Yeah, some of the questions that are in this pitch meeting DO actually have answers within the book. Or within the Q&As that Stephenie Meyer did on her website ( like the venom semen thing). They don't get fully addressed within the movie due to time constraints of the medium... So people who've only watched the movies don't have those questions answered. But the answers do exist.

@@LSG101097 What I said doesn't just describe _True Blood,_ it was the basics of how many relationships in pop culture were (vampire or no) before _Twilight_ opened their eyes and how all relationships in real life should work on a basic level. Twilight couldn't do it and personally I don't think True Blood had good healthy relationships either. And as a fan of Buffy, one relationship on that show learned to and they were toxic before that (but at least learned). All others started strong and became toxic. Twilight's relationships were just always toxic which is why they it's still criticized for characters not learning and having a happy ending to this day.

For ultimate Twilight comedy gold, you have to watch the films with the RiffTrax commentary. Absolutely hilarious. You will be crying with laughter. After watching a film or series, we always check the triumvirate of comic critique: Pitch Meeting, How It Should Have Ended, and Honest Trailers, usually in that order. I can recommend all of their Twilight stuff.

I'd love you guys doing follow-ups with Pitch Meetings after watching a movie if Ryan did a video for them. It becomes a joy to hear his repeat lines and looking out for them in each one. "Get off my back", "Super easy barely an inconvenience", "Wowowow... wow", "____ is tight". And I know this wouldn't fit into your subject of movies, but I'd even recommend looking into his "First person to ever...." videos on your own time. He's so great. Even for movies that you actually liked he still does a great job of making fun of everything, not just the bad movies like Twilight lol.

You should do the pitch meetings for Harry Potter. They're so funny, and this is coming from a loyal fan. I imagine these can upset some people, especially when they don't wish to see the faults in movies or series, or it's their moest favorite thing in the world or whatever... but tbh I think quite a few of these give a new and sometimes healthy perspective on the movies. Everything this dude said about the Twilight movies is true, but that doesn't mean we can't like them. It's just not the worst thing in the world to see how and where things- didn't go exactly right.
