@@terricampbell3179 The military specializes in creating a gung-ho mindset which is important that you believe that you or your team can do anything when facing the enemy, but there are few skills the military can do that civilians don't do better (other than some things that are very job specific). Most world-record holders in scuba diving, skydiving, swimming, obstacle course racing, shooting etc., are civilians who never served. So, in reality civilians get push harder with results. The one thing that I truly think the military does better than anyone else is teach. Friends of mine who could barely pass a math class became trig experts thanks to artillery school. One worked for Space-X and solved a problem the Ph.D. engineers couldn't figure out based on what he learned about shell trajectory. Public schools need to adopt whatever the military does to turn idiots into geniuses.

@@ASB117 Quite possible. But given where he finally crash landed. He landed belly down with loadsss of reduced speed from his final turn. He also landed in 3 or more meters of powder snow which would have given him enough cushion for the pilots body weight itself. Though he was in the helicopter so that would add a lot of weight :l I'm sure there's plenty of reports on the incident that you could look up... Edit: Quote from Brian Wimmer~ "I was on this deployment and only an hour away from this accident. I knew some of the pilots involved. The front seater was absolutely injured. The ground force requested a low pass which is not uncommon. The pilot was showing off a bit and failed to take density altitude into consideration. The aircraft experienced an effect known as “mushing” and could not recover due to the low altitude. The pilots in the flight were disciplined by their leadership and all pilots of all aircraft in Afghanistan were required to attend a “lessons learned” class so that this would never happen again."

Gotta be a better way than making it happen - this will kill someone who goes into high altitude yes so I see why it needs to be training for it but actually making it happen is horribly risky and as I said many have died. It looks funny to you but to me it looks sad. He doesn’t even know what they are doing to his brain and what risk he is in: they don’t tell you either. Just man up and fight for your country right. Who cares about you needing blood to the brain all the time./: so what if your only half dead a minute or so..: we will train you yet. Or kill you: one of the two:
