Why would you go on a diet that is known to be nutritionally deficient in at least 1 vital nutrient (b12) and lacking in many other vital nutrients and possibly lacking in many other nutrients we still don't know about

kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIe1fJykl9Jsick
@arhu745 жыл бұрын
@blue222blue no healthy omnivores/carnivores need b12, only people with gastric conditions. Besides the b12 that vegan food completely lack, it is of course deficient in many other nutrients we know of but maybe a couple of nutrients we don't know of as well
@arhu745 жыл бұрын
@blue222blue you don't need fiber, fiber is indegestable rotting bulk which only irritates the gut. It is one of the most marked improvements people on the carnivore diet notice, regular easy stool And no healthy people eating enough meat need supplition, it isn't a recommendation here either but Americans are falling for the big pharma/supplement scam
@jennifercuevas36535 жыл бұрын
Arhu ughhh seriously just leave, why do you feel the need to come to someone’s comment just to point out something “bad” or make them think twice about their decision? If she wants to become vegan, LET HER, it’s her life, not yours, if you want to still be eating meat... good for you. But let her be happy about her decision. Also, why are you on this channel is you’re not vegan or vegetarian? You just come here to spread negativity huh? What a wonderful life you have

I make soups and stews often, in the fall & winter, for the ease of preparation and the ability to fill my belly for a few days. I love butter beans but seriously overcooked some, last week (forgot to release the pressure on my Instant Pot!). Turned mushy beans into Bean & Potato Soup with various veg and liberal seasoning. The best soup ever! I keep frozen broccoli florets on hand since they are a natural partner for pasta...dress the dish up or down...broccoli pasta is such a delicious, quick meal for busy, or lazy, nights. Thumbs up for both of these recipes!

I made this today! I did a Rachel move when you don't have something...improvise. So, I didn't have coconut flakes and I used mushrooms instead and added with chickpea crumbs. Eating my second helping now. Thank you Rachel! I have made many of your dishes and I have never been disappointed.

I did the creamy pasta one and it was amazing! Definitely becoming a new staple. I didn’t do the coconut bits as didn’t have the flakes to hand but it was wonderful still without. I also added Nutmeg to the sauce at the end as felt it needed that little extra something :) thank you!!!

Rachel, I love how easygoing your recipes and approach to cooking are! Of course working with intention and thoughtfulness, but then kinda throwing it all together while having a chill time. You’re helping me remember that cooking can actually be fun and relaxing, not a fussy chore. Thank you so much!! I made the minestrone style pasta soup this week and it was so nourishing and yummy! 🧡
@kayenacur5 жыл бұрын
I've always learned to never add salt when cooking beans because it toughens the skins, making the cooking time a lot longer. So maybe you can cut the cooking time for the second recipe by adding the salt after the beans have cooked through.

OMG Rachel, that first pasta recipe ........Yummy, yummy, I want it in my tummy, right now. Seriously I opened my mouth when you were tasting it. we love Mexican food so make our own salsa, refried beans and Spanish rice. Add to meals and making your salsa throw the tomato's and onions, garlic, peppers and seasoning in a blender. Cook it down and add to your beans or rice. With a flour tortilla to wrap around it.

we make these coconut bacony bits but we pop them in the dehydrator for 24 hours and they get dry and crispy. We then keep them in a jar in the pantry and use them on all kinds of things like baked potatoes and toppings on soup. they are awesome. they look amazing in this pasta!

Thanks for the great recipes! I love your channel and for some reason look forward to you putting everything in a bowl that's too small. For new cooks be sure and wash your leeks very carefully. They get grit and sand around the base. I cut them and then put them in a big bowl of water. Let the sediment sink to the bottom. Lift the leaks out. Repeat util there is no sediment.

For the soup to make it much better use fresh tomatoes (you won’t need vegetable broth btw)!!! First Put some vegetable oil and then throw the soup noodles raw!!! Let it turn golden, next you throw in the mined garlic add two!!! After that throw in two chopped tomatoes. Then add water and add salt and it’s very good!!!! Much more simple and quick my mom adds cilantro after. You could also add other veggies as you boil and it’s done in less than an hour

I am new to your channel and have fallen in love. I'm not vegan but am interested in transitioning. The problem I'm having is knowing the pairings of seasonings and foods to help enhance and give the best flavors. It would be very helpful if you had somewhat of a tutorial in that regard. Thanks a million.

I literally made both of these recipes. I have not tasted the pasta soup yet (still cooking) but it looks really good. The other pasta was delicious. I want to try it with broccolini , broccoli, and cauliflower for some extra veg. It does take a lot of cashews (which is costly) but it was worth it.

Your recipes are very interesting, you mix flavors that I don't usually think about mixing. Like the miso paste in the cashew sauce. I will never do that, when I cook with Asian ingredients I don't mix it with western recipes. I always thought it was 'wrong'. Thanks Gordon Ramsey and Master chef for telling me not to mix cuisines!! 🤔

you're not supposed to cook beans in acid, ie tomatoes here, because they won't cook for ages (add at end instead). I want to try butterbeans, because one old lady told me she soaks them overnight in boiling water then they're cooked in fifteen minutes, which sounds highly unlikely to me, but i love them, especially after you saying they absorb more flavours. Huge cost savings too. I already boil black beans, mung beans, all lentils, as i grew up when you had to and they're half an hour max. (Adzuki i've done but i think were longer, not tried haricots, my favourites, nor pinto and flageolet since i don't really like them, nor kidney because they both take the longest and are the cheapest tinned. Ten years back, they were almost the cheapest food in the shop. I have done chickpeas and i can say, never again.) Of course i also boil green peas, being first from Ooop North and now from Wales. I've bought quite a few of Hodmedod's british pulses and can say they are fresher so cook faster, but they are more pricey, depends how you like your treats, i love new foods! I like the suma tinned 'black italian' chickpeas best, but they are the colour of poo - don't think anyone'll be making meringues with their 'aquafaba' to soon! (Poo looking food is bound to come into fashion one day, because everything does, i shall be going 'yuk' at the back with all the other old, unhip people.) I think the coconut chips aspect might be genius and am definitely going to try it, you might have hit on a true original there.
