I also have a KTM 250XC 2-stroke, and currently have a 2022 YZ450F. I’ve had a KTM 350XCF in the past. Talking 4-strokes, which do you prefer, the KTM 350, or the 2023 YZ450F. I’m trying to decide which 4-stroke I’m buying next

Both very fun bikes! The 350 crosses over to woods/trail riding a little easier though I will post a video soon of dialing back the 23 YZ450 and woods riding on it. I think 350's have such a great overall balance of Power/Weight/Handling in a 4-stroke. Also I think you will be surprised just how different the '23 YZ450F will feel compared to the '22 YZ450F...the 23 YZ450F is more agile and responsive to inputs and kinda feels like a very powerful 350F. I did a 350/450 back to back about a month ago.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYekd3eil7qClZo

correct me if I wrong but I don't think you can race the 300cc 2 stroke in supercross. I was thinking ktm was going to get that rule changed when they came out with 300sx.

Im pretty sure the same rules you're talking about would kick out the 350
@randytidwell5836 Жыл бұрын
@@heathcarr1105 the 350 is a 4 stroke. the rules use to be and maybe they changed recently but a 250cc 2 stroke was the larger 2 stroke that could compete. Has anybody raced the supercross or motocross on a 300cc 2 stroke.

250 2-strokes are the max engine size (2-stroke) available for the 450 class so no 300's. You can race a 250F in the 450 class and that has been done before.

That 300 2 stroke might embarrass some 450’s with the right rider aboard!! The manufacturers would never allow that to happen!

The all new 23 KTM 300SX made 55 hp and 35 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheel in Motocross Action's test of the bike....those are impressive numbers for a bike that weighs 220 lbs before gas and has very little engine inertia or engine braking - very agile handling. This is the first year out for the 300SX so my guess is KTM was a little conservative in the engine tuning....probably could tune for 2~3 more hp easily. I know the more I ride my 300 TBI bikes the 4-stroke engine inertia and engine braking are very noticeable when I get back on a 4-stroke moto bike. Nice that KTM has developed the very powerful 300 TBI engine.

Imagine an aftermarket ECU too ! 😳

@@stevedouglas1654 Yes and MXA just did a test with the FMF exhaust and silencer on the 23 KTM 300SX and it made 58hp (+3hp over stock)...more power = more fun!
