Why sweep glove forward? Makes more sense to move the glove back towards your throwing hand. In regular speed it looks like you bring the glove straight up, not forward.

I can get to backhanded groundballs, but they pop out of my glove often, I feel like I can't time the closing of the glove, or my glove is too stiff? What should I fix?

Excellent video Coach! I've had all of our players work on pick drills to get them use to the motion then advanced them up through the backhand drills you show here as well as in your fielding a ground ball properly video. It seemed easier for some players to pick it up and build confidence if they are leary of backhanding. It was also great to see you address the flicking/flipping the wrist motion too!!! Thanks for sharing! Brian
