This guy is spot on with every video. I’ve played ball my entire life but never had a decent coach that taught me the fundamentals. Now at 40 I’m dedicated to teaching my 11 year old the fundamentals of the game and all these videos are awesome. Thank you coach Justin for helping me and my boy better our game!

My dude, I am in the exact same spot except I'm 42 and my son is 10. He decide this spring to get real serious about baseball so now I'm seeking out qualified instructors and coaches for him. These types of things were never taught to me in little league and if I even do any of these when I'm demonstrating it is out of pure dumb luck or accident. I certainly don't know how to lay it out so precisely as this.

Hi Justin can you make a video to help me with my son on coming in for a fly ball that's hit short? My son got hit in the mouth by a fly ball that bounced that he was just short of catching. and it's left him scared to break for the ball and I'm at a loss for a proper technique to help him.

Hey Coach Justin! Once again, sweet video. Can you try to make a video on drills that we can do by ourselves? My parents are working and I am alone at home a lot. Also, I need to work on squaring up the ball and making contact on the sweet spot. That would also be a great video. No rush but those would be very helpful because you are such a great coach and baseball player. Thanks, Coach!

Back but yeah that makes sense same as if I'm coming in to do a half-volley or Vale situation just go right to where I'm going to make contact with that ball no cut it a 45° to look for that ball right where I want to take it so I can buy it right in the corner and Tennis so it's the same thing no wasted movements first when you're going back to hit the overhead the same as you're going back to get that fly ball over your head and it's better just to hurry up and get right to the exact location instead of just drifted out there so tennis and baseball you'll be amazed at how they're the same where you're going to catch that baseball just like you're catching the catcher's mitt that's how you're supposed to be a lot of people if you can recognize this similarity between baseball and Tennis venue tennis cable improve

I don't comment on many videos on KZbin, but this one was great and I felt like it at least deserved some of my time to comment (for whatever my time is worth). As an outfielder of 20+years, I thought I knew it all, but felt like KZbin would have something to offer, and you didn't disappoint. Much of what you said I already do, whether just by intuition or with purpose, so I can attest to its validity, but I've never had it so clearly articulated and presented in a way that will help me communicate this to others. So thank you for creating this video. I also learned some things I didn't know, so I'm doubly excited about that. Your drill looks really fun too. We will try it at my daughter's next practice for sure. Thanks again,

Awesome video! Wish I had this as a kid. Can't stress enough how important the drop step is in the outfield. Never go forward unless you know for sure it's a shallow flyball! Like Coach Justin said, if you nail that drop step and get to the spot of the ball quickly, you've won half the battle.
@chadrides914 Жыл бұрын
My man you do such an excellent job could we encourage you to not just tell us what to do, but actually do it with a real live flyball. There’s only so much that you can learn from watching an explanation. We need to see it as well, so do better because you are better.

Yeah how you throw the baseball same way I throw my service motion you get all that rotation it's the same thing and that ground force up from the ground or bend my knees straight and rotation the shoulders same thing in the snapping of my wrist is the same is my service and you're the way you throw the baseball are the same and the way you catch the ball with your med the same as I Bolly and the same way your footwork you move back and forth the same way I'm moving my foot working in tennis on the tennis court there's a big similarity between sports but people don't see that
