Hey Justin I gotta question for you, if fielding a grounder back handed do I still try to round the ball? I wasn't for sure because in my last travel ball game I missed a back handed grounder and my coach told me to try and wait for it and try to time it right. Just wasn't for sure. Thanks

Typically you shouldn't have time to round the ball on a backhand. The only time you should be backhanding the ball is when it's absolutely necessary.. when you can't get in front of the ball.

Hey coach Justin, loved your video, and as always makes my game better. But as always and eager to learn, I have a question in particular. Which one of your routine videos that help you throw harder will do me the most good when trying to build arm strength? I love you video, but I don't want to overwork my body, and cause injury.

I think it needs to be a combination of things. However, long toss and band exercises are two of my favorites that I'd really recommend if you're looking to build arm strength.

Hey Coach! I got a little question. Am Utility and mostly I play in the infield. But like 2 years ago was the last time I play on the outfield so since I play mostly in the infield I was practicing just grounder. This year my coach decided to place me on 1st base (something that must of my teammate don't liked the idea because am pretty athletic to play 1st) So I was playing 1st and the batter pops up like between me and the pitcher so I ask for the ball, then I start sprinting foward and then I start to see the ball like jumping and that mess up my timing and when I rise my golve to catch it the ball al ready hit in my head and that was a pretty akward moment for me because I am a pretty good filder. So the question is: What is causing that I saw the ball jumping when am sprinting foward and how can I prevent that?

I’ve never really liked ground balls. Was one of the things I really struggled on. So, started to work on them. Went to a baseball camp and I took “first place” in a little infielding contest. So I guess all this hours of throwing a tennis ball at the side of the shed and fielding it worked🤷♂️😂
