I’m from Newcastle so I have a bit of a personal bias as to what my favourite uk city is, but Manchester is a close 2nd by far, I’ve been there 3 times in 5 or so years and the people are warm and friendly & you feel at home amongst the locals straight away. If anyone is thinking about visiting once the coronavirus situation is over I couldn’t recommend it enough, or at least I couldn’t sell you all on it as much as Ninh has in this video! The proliferation of smart modern apartment buildings (as opposed to council blocks) has gone a long way to turning Manchester, Liverpool, and Birmingham into vibrant, liveable cities over the last 10-15 years. That's not yet the case in most cities in the south - while the flats that have gone up in London are only for the super rich.
@UltimateBucketList5 ай бұрын
Sadly, Manchester is also getting extremely expensive like London. It's already out of reach for many who work normal jobs.

Maybe once the covid 19 is fully under control you could do similar things for other English cities? Maybe not London though 😄 Just a thought! Great video otherwise Ninh!
@UltimateBucketList4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I have a bit of footage that I could use of London. But otherwise, yeah I think some future videos are going to be UK based.

Why there are so less people on the road. Was the video shot at early morning time?
@UltimateBucketList2 ай бұрын
@braju568 yes, this video was shot early on a Sunday morning when the city is quiet. It's not usually like this 😅

Moving to Manchester from Seattle (where Kenny G is from hehehe) to study at UOM this Autumn, and I cannot wait! Thank you for the lovely video; it really helped me out and I have watched it a fair few times this summer in preparation for the move!
@UltimateBucketList3 жыл бұрын
Congratulations, I think you'll have an amazing time here. The UoM is one of the largest Universities in all of Europe, with some great nightlife and you won't be bored here. It's also easy to get to other parts of the country and the airport is a major international airport, so it's your gateway into Europe too. Good luck!

You will find the weather similar to Seattle and there is the Frasier(Greatest comedy of all time) connection with Daphne lol. I hope that you like it.
@UltimateBucketList3 жыл бұрын
@@paulwild3676 the whole Daphne Moon thing is what most Americans assume that Mancunians are like. But she's from Sussex and her accent is way off (she sounds more like she's from Yorkshire). On a more interesting side note: John Mahoney (who plays Frasier's dad) IS from Manchester!

When sport comes again and were allowed in go to the aj bell stadium to watch salford red devils (just a question, u said u like league more than union, who do u like most in league?)
@UltimateBucketList4 жыл бұрын
I'm a Wigan Warriors fan and I generally watch the games. I'd see more at the AJ Bell, but the traffic is always a nightmare and parking is hard to come by without arrive two hours early.
@jf-08154 жыл бұрын
@@UltimateBucketList my mum's a Wigan fan but she hates others like when I was 9 I went to the haliwell Jones stadium to watch Wigan v Salford in the challenge cup when the final whistle blew 2 people behind me were shouting at me Salford are **** I was nearly crying, I'm 12 now and a season ticket holder at salford
@UltimateBucketList4 жыл бұрын
I'd see more Salford games if it wasn't a pain in the ass to get to. Fortunately for me, one of my clients has a free car park I can use - so I'm usually away before the traffic gets bad. And in fairness, up until last season, Salford really were ****

Thanks for this thorough review of Manchester. I have been here for a few days and your guide definitely helped me to know where to go and not waste my time. Printworks is under construction right now so maybe it will be fixed up soon. Also the National Football Museum is only free for Manchester residents.But all in al this definitely helped me navigate the city and is totally my first stop when thinking of hitting up a city especially in Europe. I did want to get the Man United stadium tour but another city I guess. Thanks for info.

It depends where you stay. You can stay in cheap hostels for £12 per night or hotels that are around £50 per night. That said, if you have family over here ... accommodation is free!
