I remember doing a furniture delivery to Windsor castle about 14 years ago, we had to go through a lot of security and everything we delivered had to be searched by security, it held us up abit but it was incredible to see into some rooms that are closed to the public, I haven’t been back since but definitely going to go back, the place is incredible RIP Prince Philip 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

It is open to the public as is Buckingham Palace unless things have changed regarding the Palace getting a make over. Check out when. Hope to see you next year. I lived in America for 9 months and loved every nano second of it and the people were absolutely incredible. Wish I could have stayed.

There are 2 train stations in Windsor, the one shown is from London Paddington via Slough. Depending on how fast the train between Paddington and Slough, 15mins, 30 mins or 50mins and then 10mins from Slough to Windsor. The Windsor and Eton Riverside station train comes from London Waterloo, takes 50mins but no changes. The stations were built by different railway companies competing for Queen Victoria's patronage and the Windsor Central Station (or the Royal Station as you called it), won the race!

I'm English born here will die here, I love my country, I love The Royal Family, I love all the pomp and pageantry, I am proud that we have a MONARCHY. I live in the same Village that Sandringham House is located. That and Balmoral are owned out right by the monarchy the rest is owned by the state. Interesting note on the state dining room. It was completely rebuilt with a lot of the design overseen by Prince Phillip. The large shield with the latin writing is the order of the garter's shield

Yes, that's true! COVID restricted quite a bit of the tour (namely the Round Tower, which you can go up and see the most majestic view over Windsor). But definitely worth going back when things are normal again.

This brings back such great memories for me. I visited here in 2006 and the procedure to get in and out and the route was a little different then. I remember we lined up outside on a terrace and you could look through the trees to the chapel at Eton College. We entered and the first thing we saw was a temporary exhibit on the Castle's collection of Rembrandt sketches, then we went directly to see Queen Mary's dollhouse - OK, I'm a girl - I enjoy this kind of thing - but I think anyone would enjoy seeing it, for all the detail put into it. There will never be another like it! My favorite room in the castle was the Garter Throne Room - the beautiful blue carpets and the portraits of the Queen, and her parents and grandparents - I just could have stayed in there forever. We were in a hurry so I didn't get to spend as much time at St. George's Chapel as I would have liked, but it was very touching to see where King George VI, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret are all buried. My dream would be to see the burial grounds at Frogmore, where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert are buried, along with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and other royals. It normally is only open for a few days each summer, but I understand that it's currently going through some needed preservation work, so it's closed to the public for the forseeable future. I loved everything about this video and my time in Windsor. Thanks for the great video!

Windsor Castle was definitely one of the nicer Royal residences I've been to, and I'm glad this video brought back some fond memories. This summer - I'll be taking one of the rare tours they allow around Buckingham Palace itself. I'll have a hard time trying to record it (photography and videography is strictly not allowed), but I'm sure I'll find a way. In the year 2000 we had gone to London. Tried to visit Windsor castle. But unfortunately first time when we went that was weekly Holiday. So again went on the next-day . At the end of the 3 mile walk is a statue of King George III pointing to Windsor Castle, known as The Copper Horse. From there you can carry on walking into Windsor Great Park which is about 5000 acres and mostly public.

to save walking... there used to be small parking lots not so far from the copper horse, for horse riders and walkers, but they shut them recently and then made it £10 to park. Or you can drive to the Old Windsor entrance, which is still free, past elton john's house. And the White Bus can be taken, it serves the hamlets in the park

Thank you so much for the tour, I'm not sure if you did a second video, I was looking forward to seeing, her Majesty Crown Jewels at the Tower of London where they are kept.. I believe tours for the jewels at that location are done as well. The areas allowed to be photographed, I would liked to have known, but it's okay sir. I do understand their concerns, with video tapping, they had throughout history a couple of robberies. So the breach of their security system, and the Queen's safety is quite important Your video did not disappoint, the areas showed inside the castle were quite breathtakingly spectacular and magnificent sir.. This is the 1st of your videos I've viewed and I have to say I'm mightily impressed! You have just the right level of professionalism and humour, and the background score is not intrusive. There is an anecdote which has done the rounds for a few years, related by a tour guide who was regularly asked by tourists why the castle was built so close to the airport, hahaha. I have visited Windsor in the early 90s from yks . I loved it lovely little town and the Castle jus amazing have always wanted to visit again after the fire it looks spectacular. We did. Go in the chapel as well . I loved it it’s all very wonderful .🥰🥰🥰😊😊😊😊😊😊

We went there in the 90’s. I was a cop then from Canada. We went thru security and no problems whatsoever. There was an older gentleman (another cop), he was very friendly and some how figured out I was one too. Never saw any special unit cops with HK machine guns though like in your video. My favourite area was where all the armour and swords were kept and I did see the Masamune Sword (from Japan) given to the Queen as a gift from the Emperor of Japan. I looked at that thing for a good half hour as well as the Turkish Ottoman armours of my ancestors. Great day that day! 👍👍
