Bull, I wasn't comparing DeJong to Thomas. I'm comparing DeJong to our current starting SS... We could have got both Thomas and DeJong. Regarding Lorenzen, again, I wasn't comparing him to Cobb. However, Lorenzen has an ERA of 3.81 this year. Cobb had an ERA of 3.87 last year... And, as you mentioned, Cobb hasn't pitched a game this year.

It's not only watsons contract being bad. Its that they also gave up 6 draft picks, 3 of them being 1st rounders and 2 of those were in the top half of the 1st round.

Baseball is different than any other sport. No baseball gets drafted and just skips the minors and goes straight to the majors. He could come up for September call ups. But the jump in baseball from college to the pros is probably the largest of any sport. From talent to using different equipment

no, not enough. at all. needed at least one decent new starting pitcher, and there were several quality ones available. in a year like this, the price wouldn't be too high for any of them. they're within reach of being good enough to get to the W.S. and just punted a great chance to do so. because they were worried about the price tag. screw that.

There is no move that they didn’t make that was held up because of money. None. It came down to prospect capital and the sellers dictating the market. The made upgrades to a team that currently has the best record in baseball. No team made major improvements. If this isn’t enough for you, given the landscape around them, it seems you could have just started and finished your comment with your apparently unwavering support of the Browns (a team we all love, bur has toiled in mediocrity for 30 years).

I think baker is an average NFL starter and I think the browns would never win a super bowl without him. Baker has been better than watson since the trade. If watson doesn't turn it around, it will probably go down as the worst trade and contract of all-time in all of sports

Deshaun WAS at one point a better quarterback than baker. Deshaun hasn’t performed in 4 years. That’s a lifetime in the nfl.
