This will be my last plasterboard fixing video for a long time 😉 I have hundreds of hours of video to edit on installing a kitchen, plus how to fit Multipanel’s, but I’ll try and edit the videos when the weather is colder! All previous plasterboard fixing tests can be seen here- www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/viewtopic.php?t=106943 I hope everyone has a great Sunday 😉

Why anyone would get annoyed by these type of videos is beyond me. I actually found your channel initially by searching for plasterboard fixings. Been watching every video ever since (at least when youtube is kind of enough to offer it up in my subscription feed). Thanks for all your great videos, thanks for putting up the spreadsheet on the forum and don't let the trolls and other internet scum get to you :) All the best from Belgium!

I think your videos are really useful and I have watched many, they are straightforward, to the point with no bull. Just what you need when you are searching for an answer to a problem. Long may you carry on making them and try not to let the smart arses get to you as they seem to come out of the woodwork these days.

They carry an impressive amount of weight, but 20mm is a bloody great hole. You’d have to be pretty sure that you weren’t going to move the tv bracket/ shelve before you started to pop 20 mm holes all over your lounge wall.

#ultimatehandyman thank you for reviewing these fixings. The reason for the small screws in one of the packs is so that they can be used when the gap behind the plasterboard is very small, and of course there is no point in having long screws if most of the screw is not actually in any substrate. Most other fixings, with the exception of Gripfit, cannot cope with narrow gaps behind the plasterboard. I can understand why the guy who invented these wanted you to review them because you have lot of subscribers and in fairness, judging by your review and others, his fixings are very good, especially as they can fit in all widths of gaps, whereas many of the fixings cannot. Again, thanks for all your videos on plasterboard fixings, I have watched all of them.

Noooo I just found your page and read that you’re no longer doing plasterboard anchor videos :( I navigated to the page with your results: 1. Spring toggle 176KG or 387Lbs 2. Bullfix Extra 143KG or 314Lbs 3. Snap toggle (sometimes called zip fix fixing) 129KG or 284Lbs Curious to know which brand of Spring Toggle worked best? As I’ve read many reviews that some aren’t that great at supporting heavy loads

@ultimatehandyman

Thanks, for dot and dab walls, you can use either of these two- Rigifix- kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpK8l6ZpoddkoKs&t Corefix- kzbin.info/www/bejne/bamvmXyGpLRonbM&t Using resin fixings should be pretty easy with dot and dab, you just need to follow this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYatgZ2AqMmfZsU&t But you might need to fabricate some spacers to go over the studs, if the item you are fixing is heavy, or you could use washers/nuts etc.
