I really enjoyed this video. For me, one of your best. Great blues sound with techniques that I can use right away. I spent a couple of hours with this video and added a lot to my harp vocabulary. Thanks.

Yeah guys. The Bb is so smooth and responsive. The chords on my 1896 sound sexy. I love my manji A but Iv has to make it more air tight and don’t know if I like it much. I swapped my golden melody plastic comb for a brass one and it’s muuuch brighter and louder. Not a fan of bright sounds on anything higher than a c harp but may sound good on my A harp. Any input guys?
@Harmonica1235 жыл бұрын
@@natevance5832 I don't like having to swap parts to get a harmonica to sound right or become more airtight. I like custom combs etc. but the harp should cooperate out of the box so I'd say find the harp that fits you best and then begin swapping parts. I like the Crossover and M.B. Deluxe the best. Special 20s are also nice.

Thanks man :) Have you done a video on intermediate turn arounds? I can't find one of yours and was hoping to find something sexier than "2draw 2blow 1draw 1draw" Hope all's well Cheers
@Harmonica1235 жыл бұрын
i actually made an extensive video on ideas from the V chord which incorporated the turnarounds. never released it as I was just trying to capture the ideas for a future lesson on the site. that said, this is a good idea. coming soon. thanks.

Great lesson, I have been playing the harp for many years and still learning and trying to get better at playing the blues Thank you Ronnie. I go to a lot of gigs and listen to Eddie Martin another great player and teacher it's good that both of you are keeping the blues Harmonica alive
@philippinefandango28595 жыл бұрын
Hey Ronnie... That generates a great blues sound... In observing more closely, it appears that you hold the harp at an almost vertical angle.. Does that make it easier to bend notes?? Thanks so much for the lesson... Take care...
@makilakixki5 жыл бұрын
Even though the question is for Ronnie I'll take the liberty to answer if you don't mind. The key for draw bending is the collaboration of three factors: air flow, air presure and frequence resonance. The way of holding the harp is irrelevant as far as said factors work together properly :-)
@Harmonica1235 жыл бұрын
Bruce, no. Tongue position and proper breath control are the biggest factors

Cool , great sound . Question , it says " outfitted with a BlueXLab comb. " . What's that ?
@Harmonica1235 жыл бұрын
that's a company in Italy that makes harmonica accessories. bluexlab.com (site is being updated at this time). they make combs, harmonica cases, mics, volume controls for bullet mics etc.

@@Harmonica123 Thanks , man . I appreciate it . Be nice to see a Video on how to use some of the BlueX accessories . I'm an experienced musician , a singer/songwriter , but I'm just learning Harmonica . I had a Band in Florida & played with a guy in Miami named Gustavo Lezcano . Honer or somebody put Gus on their Harmonica calendar . No offense to Gus , he was a great guy , but I like your sound way better . Rock on . Speaking of BlueX , you should contact them and see if they would like to sponsor your KZbin channel , maybe you could make some money . Good luck .
