I have 5 MS-01's, 3 in an HA PVE environment, and a couple stand alone systems, all in production in commercial settings. So far they have been great. MF is one of my fave tech companies right now

The lack of the 10 GbE SFP+ ports and the PCIe expansion slot that was built in was what helped make the MS-01 great. PIty that Minisforum decided to take all of those features out of this unit here. :( Poop.

I am not sure why someone would not simply buy and itx mb (Minisforum makes 2, like the BD-790) and a gpu of their choice, put it in a small itx case, with a good 600W small power supply, this way you have the full 16 bit PCIe bus, and it would certainly look better and perform better as well

Do you have any control over the card in AMD Adrenalin like fan curve, overclocking or under volting when connected through the Oculink cable? Thank you

Has anyone bought the MS-A1 barebone and then install their own CPU? If so, has anyone tried the 7800X3D or the 9000 series? On Minisforum website it said it would support 9000 series with a BIOS update. Just want to see if anyone has actually tried it?

@@y4lnux Maybe, maybe not. Latest I'm reading is it's a desktop/server CPU issue related to mc/voltages. Keeping tabs on Nexus, Level1Techs, STH updates so we'll wait and see if it extends to mobile...

if you want a tiny PC why would you stick a GPU in it that's as big as the PC itself?? This trend of tiny never made any sense to me.
