Nice video bro, I’m just wondering if you walk from the rock pool all across those rocks to this spot or is there a secret path to get there thanks

I've dropped down to 10 pound off the rocks and haven't looked back. Got tired of winching stuff in and wanted more of a challenge. Next step is to step down to 6 pound for the frigates, rats and bonnies off the rocks.

I'm running a similar setup you use in the vid. Certate LT 3000 XH with deep spool 10lb tasline and the lighter model palms shore gun again than what you have (jap import) shore gun evolv sfgts-96ml 6-16lb

There's option - chase bigger fish with heavier gear, or chase available fish with lighter setup
@hustleandflow7 ай бұрын
Why not both? You can land longtail on 10 pound and legal kings on the same. Kings you have to lead them in instead of tiring them out. It's all about skill. You need the net/gaff to land them instead of launching them on the ledge. Works fine mate.

Awesome video. What are the rod and reel set ups?

Another great vid. Just wondering what your rod and reel setup is for the livies ?

That was the GT setup - Daiwa Saltiga 14k & Ocean's Legacy Aggressor PE8. Absolute overkill 😁

So ultra light rod, yeah? What size was your reel?
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew7 ай бұрын
2500 and 3000 size reels is considered ultra light when chasing pelagic fish off the rocks
@GhettoFabulous6707 ай бұрын
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew yea I've read up on that. Thinking of ditching my 1000 for a 2500, maybe a 3000? Only bc salt water fish fights harder and there is no fresh water to fish in my area. I live in saipan
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew7 ай бұрын
@@GhettoFabulous670 don't forget to also get a longer rod. You need it so you can avoid clipping the ledge when trying to land the fish

Great vid's guys but please insist your bro's wear vests it's not worth losing anyone just for a fish, it's compulsory here in vic.
@hustleandflow7 ай бұрын
I get it's the law but it creates a false sense of security. People can't swim think a life jacket will save them. If the swell is up all they do is clatter you against the ledge. Besides. Look at the video. It's flat. If you can swim 25m you'd be fine lol.

We can only encourage each other, but we can't force people to do it. This includes some of our mates and even locals that we meet the spot.
