Also the ability to attach a lower shelf to the side of the workbench, just to be able to place the track saw out of the way of the main work area,

Very nice and fixes the main problems of “other tables” It also has some neat features, the built in braces, robust connection mechanism, the carry handle. I see in the top you have also allowed for the rail system to be set back from the main run of holes to maximise the cutting width. All in all great looking product.

Having visited the factory recently and being a previous owner of an mft this table beats it by miles. it’s the most stable table I’ve come across and versatility is going to be amazing. I’m sure we could all think of an add on that allows you to do something. Maybe side brackets for the legs to allow a door to be put on to router hinges? Great product price well by the quality I have seen.

As an MFT/3 user, I really, really like the ability to stand them on end for storage without bending the t-track slots. since watching this video i have thought of so many uses in my shop. any plans to sell this without legs or without the top? as someone that would be paying shipping to the US, and then possibly removing the legs and making an assembly table out of a couple, that would be a great option. super excited to see the upcoming accessories too!

That looks great, well done. If I had the space in my single garage workshop I’d buy one in a heartbeat! I’ve just cut up 6 x 18mm full sheets on a makeshift table using sawhorses and CLS lengths before I could accurately cut the parts on my Mft slab, it worked but very dodgy!! Well done Ralph, great bit of kit.

Looks nice, but also pricey. I do like the stabilization solution. This is one thing which bothers me on the quite new metabo table. To install the extension looks quite cumbersome though, but for a fixed installation alright. The metabo table seems to be nicer to be adjusted in height. Furthermore, I am missing a few things in the video: 1. How are the small extensions to the front installed? Yes, like the extension shown, I guess. But only the one side/corner, right? 2. What are the dimensions folded together? 3. What are the usable dimensions? Meaning: When the fence is installed and the track hinges what cutting capacity would I have? My problem I have with the folding tables: I don't want to store the attachments somewhere else all the time. Yes, having the fence and hinges in a systainer could work, but still you would have to reinstall them every time. I would like to have some sort of (rubberized) feet (for the T-Track maybe?) So that the hinges can stay in place and one would still be able to place the table on the side to fold it together.

Great to see, love the corner block system, the side slot for introduction of clamps or T nuts. When using extrusion one side or end is normally not usable. I have built my own and understand the depth of the development. Also understand the material cost. I think this system is a winner, especially for UK with no import or shipping cost.
@fair2middling4 ай бұрын
I was going to build my own non-folding table with wheels out of extrusion for a similar price. I thought yours would be folding and I wouldnt consider it, but turns out I'm actually very tempted with what you've done 👍 The legs on yours being made of extrusion means I could easily add a removable brace across the bottom if I felt the need or fix a board with dog holes vertically under the double extrusion. Lots of other possibilities with your design too

I have to say I've never regretted buying my MFT/3, but it has its shortcomings. You've decisively dealt with those in a package that looks pretty darn good. I checked out the price point on your website, and you're pretty bob-on, I think. Thinking about my needs, I'd like to see an option that would allow the table to be placed the a bench/storage cabinet. The corner castings on the MFT/3 allow me to have that sited on a cabinet in the workshop and lifted off for work on site with its legs folded down. Thanks for the solution and showcasing it today.

I built a Dashboard equivalent out of 5050 with all the outriggers etc. I can say that cost me over £1200 and doesn't look a pinch against this. What about adding a sacrificial cutting strip on the top of the table?
@chikamichiАй бұрын
I guess it’s pretty easy to make one, just secure that sacrificial piece to the table using clamps, flip that assembly over, and drill the MFT holes from underneath the Ultra table. Using a jig, you may even only need to drill 2 or 3 holes using that technique, then flip the assembly back on its leg, and finish the work using the jig. Bonus, if the sacrificial piece was not properly squared, just trim it using the proper router bit, and voilà.

First thank you for coming up with alternative table to the market and one which appears to have some interesting design features. Difficult to give you a decent opinion without testing one but Il ike: the mobility (wheeling) features, the Systainer carrying capacity, the connectivity, the apparent stability and the fact that it is available with a Valchromat top. What I would like: many of us work in tough grounds: setting it up like you demonstrated would wreck one of this tables in seconds as its aluminium extrusions would not be able to cope (rubber bumps on its sides would be a nice accessory to have), re the wheels: it is great to have them available but for my needs I would like even bigger (much bigger) and thicker ones: for rough terrain manoeuvrability and to easy climb over countless stairs.... and a better handle: yours is a good idea but I reckon it can be made better and ever as an accessory to fit to the rails.... My opinions have been issued against two systems I currently use: a UJK MULTIFUNCTION WORKBENCH that I mount onto a Toughbuilt saw horse (the Axminster ones for the UJK table are just so mediocre re of its price ) and an Festool Festool MFT on its own Festool cart which is a pleasure to use but that I find small (even extended) for many situations. What I think you have come up is a competitively price alternative to the best on the market: The Dashboard which is out, for most of us, of reach - a side by side comparison would be very interesting.

Absolutely love these they look like a great alternative to the over priced and under engineered Festool units . My only question is work station heights. Do these tie into the work heights of the Festool sys 50 and Kapex underframes to provide a consistent work platform? Which would be perfect or are you planning to introduce accessories to mount the sys 50 and kapex flush with the benchdog mft workstation systems? Really is the key factor to whether Festool users will buy in heavily

Yes, I like it very much. It has function, form, and (something I'd need at my age doing any gig I'd be doing in a craft fair or such) it has "FLASH". Any I might have had has sailed so I'd consider this an investment. Something to add to the arsenal simply to get a passerby to pause an think, "Say, what's this table he's working on about?" That would be in a demo booth I'd be showing on for example. I imagine it will get around to the USA in short order as it's very practical and serves a plethora of uses I can think of beyond what you showed and hinted at. Good looking product but I bet there is a pretty price to it as well. I know well enough not to be afraid of buying quality tools if you can't live without them. So I'll have start getting my rationales in order for my missus.

I know I am asking a lot here but it would be simple enough to offer. Besides having the wheels in the "cart config," I have found that with my Festool MFT, two "inline wheels" on one edge of the table top are also helpful. That way I am not limited to using it as a cart and it can skate on the two inline wheels which helps me get through narrow spaces but also less of that reach over. I imagine it would just attach via the t-nut groove on the track extrusion. The wheels I have used in the past were small. But this design looks way better in terms of stability than the Festool table which is rather terrible for hand planing etc.

We didn't want to make a cheap table like some brands are doing to get their name on an MFT table. We opted for quality as there are people who want to buy one set-up and not worry about it again, giving them many years of use; this is the table. Each table is made here in the UK by hand, not in a factory in the Far East. We want people to be proud that they have purchased a product that will not fail them and will have so many uses and add-ons in the future whether it's from us or 3rd party 3D printed. It's not the cheapest, but it's also not the most expensive; you don't have to buy extra parts to fix it. It's solid out of the box.

Wow...absolutely brilliant and horrifying. I have spent years looking for all the leg constructions and ideas on how to make an MFT from aluminum profiles. All the ideas I found on the internet are used here. The use of hinges for the table legs on the inside is unique and to me genius, although the use of the leg groove is limited. The best part is that it can be made from off-the-shelf components. Your solution to the legs is great. Overall the design of the table is horrible. Each solution has its pros and cons (dashboardp, ultra mft ...). Absolutely great, thank you for the inspiration - the price of the basic table is very reasonable. From me ultra MFT is no.1

How do you join 2 'main' tables together, side by side ?
@Benchdogtools4 ай бұрын
Side by side or at each end, its completely modular

Great conception and product by the looks of it. By the looks of it 3 tables could be bolted together. One in front of the other and one length ways down one side...would all the holes still be accurately in line ?

Is there any assembly/instruction manual? I found the leg.clamping system unable to completely hold the legs at either extreme. Using the sliding white supports the table is very stable but when the legs are folded down into the top I worry the legs might fall down out of the table top due to the inability to clamp the four leg clamps.

There is a leg clip fitted on the table. Once you close the legs this clips into the leg which then holds it in place. If you want to tighten the cam leaver you can also do this you just might need to turn them first.

so cool. I might have to sell my Festool double MFTs. Can i get some information on the weights of the various tables? it seems lighter than the MFT from the way the fellow is lifting them in the video.
@Benchdogtools4 ай бұрын
It is heavier to the festool version but the handle makes it easier to transport around.

thanks! Forgot to ask what is the height range? can it be put against an MFT/3 at the same height?

The Price between Main Tablet and Extensions Table are Not much and the Extensions are shorter also he can,t stand alone so my Question are can I Connect two Main Tablet together leave one Pair Legs in the parking Position?
@Benchdogtools3 ай бұрын
We have decided to make them the same size as the main table.
@JamieVauxnut13 ай бұрын
@Benchdogtools that doesn't really answer the question. I think the point is most people would rather buy 2 full tables as the cost of the extension table isn't that much less . That would offers 2 work stations in different rooms or connected for 1 large work station . Can 2 full tables be connected without the legs fouling was the main part of the original question?

This MFT-Version is amazing and one of the best commercial version I ever see - great job! You should implement a router table element to adapt at the side rails, like I did in my DIY-Version in this Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3S9oY14j7N1aNE (starts at Min. 1:35). Regards Guido
