Great setup - but would maybe go overboard and use two NATO plugs front and rear. They just also look very cool

How has this setup held up? What have you pulled? Based off research and calculations, that connector could fail when pulling ~3000lbs or more, due to the quick connects only being rated for 175A. I'm about to mimick your setup, but with 350A connectors for good measure. I'm pulling ~3800lb vehicles onto a trailer. Thanks for the video!

The winch hasn’t let me down yet, that said I haven’t been stuck in the mud since I installed it.

I’d be interested to see that winch do a dead pull on you with no assistance. Maybe even lock the rear tires with the E-brake and see how it does.

I am still a bit worried about my front bumper pulling off LOL! I will be sure to test this winch soon! So far I have pulled down two dead trees.

@@GotterAdventure I had a different idea on how to temporarily mount mine and attach it in a different way. I really don’t think I have the structural support to attach it anywhere in the front of my vehicle. But I recently put a hitch on my car. And I already have a hitch mounted winch on another vehicle. So that may also work.

@@jklpino it is good to have a variety of options for recovery. The beauty of the winch is it does the work for you. I still love my traction boards and hi-lift winch setup.

Your tundra has more front suspension options to compensate for the extra 80+ lbs of a full size winch. That being said this winch will pull 16,500 lbs with two snatch rings. For a lot of unconventional off-roaders this is a nice bit of kit that beats a hand winch.
