Ultra-rare French cinema lenses // Angenieux 18.5 + 24 // Ursa 12K

Angenieux 18.5 and 24 are two vintage Retrofocus lenses. The 18.5 was a favourite of Orson Welles, while the 24 is a mystery.
Both are softer, low contrast lenses with cooler rendering.
Both are generally found in Cameflex mount which requires rehousing for modern applications, but up until recently I've owned both in extremely rare Arri Standard mount; and was able to shoot with them on a Blackmagic Ursa 12K and Arri Alexa Mini.

They're two awesome lenses but I've just sold the 24. The Angenieux's are too different from my Cookes!

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and we've been having conservations in the media about IVF laws in Australia and how unfortunately outdated they are compared to the rest of the world. A Current Affair covered out trip to a Russian fertility clinic and The Weekend Australian Magazine is covering the birth with a feature article and photo essay of the actual birth itself, which will be a maternal assisted Caesarean at Gold Coast Private :) But look at you!! That's exciting that you're shooting full time now. WOW!! Congratulations and keep up the great work!! :)

Which adapter did you get to work with the Arri Alexa?

Can these cut with Cooke Kinetals or too different?

18.5: yes. 24: not really. But the 18.5 is definitely cooler + softer with different bokeh, so it requires a bit of work, but I've used it many times in between the Cookes
