Yes, but phantoms don't teleport-they will roam towards the player, setting off motion detectors.

The reason why this is a Wraith is because they have the ability to teleport to you and leave an EMF of 2 if you have one turned on near you. I knew this because a door, light switch, or item was not touched, yet left an emf reading behind.

They also never step in salt. I get it teleported past it but that's also cause it's a wraith. Either way, the ghost moving to you like that without salt getting any interference is a clear Wraith indicator.

Well banshee can also teleport to you and give an emf of 2 so it's a 50 50 between wraith and banshee

I was last week years old when I realized a curse hunt will start if you leave the room after having activated the Luigi board. The ghost happened to be a Yokai and I just noticed a hunt had started when I was going up the stairs of the basement on Tanglewood. I meant to take a picture of the board but fucked it up.

The EMF started reading a Level 2 when none of the usual sources of EMF Level 2 happened (interactions including door touch, light switch, appliance interaction, object throw). That is the ghost teleporting to the investigator, which is quite a personal space invasion. Next the ghost will most likely walk away over the salt and back to the ghost favourite room, only a Wraith can walk over salt without disturbing the salt.

I call this interaction the "Strange EMF Reading" It happens when a Phantom or Wraith use abilities, and can happen near a Fuse Box when a Jinn uses its ability. The reading has no source to exist, no interactions occurred, it's like the EMF is firing off for no reason.

I was playing with randoms and I met a guy called shinobu he was level 10000 and opened the door and basically found the ghost within 30 seconds just don’t think anyone knows him he was insane at the game

Probably a good guess but be careful as there are people who use 3rd party apps to tell them the ghosts. It's a form of cheating.

I have figured out the ghost like this a few times, but if you find the ghost room and place salt everywhere its a lot easier to notice that its a wraith. wraith is a very easy ghost so it really isint that useful. But still a cool knowlege check

Very easy wraith, but I wouldn't call it an ultra rare ability. They do it more often than people realize. I also do no evidence runs and had a 4 minute match with a wraith (the stinker took forever to hunt with 0 sanity that I thought it was a shade) and it did that ability 3 times, according to the end game stats. The one special ability I would categorize as ultra rare is the deogen growl through the spirit box. I've only ever had that once, before switching to no evidence.

You hear the ghost throw a fork in the beginning meaning it’s near the kitchen. Then without touching the salt or throwing anything near the player there is a random EMF 2 reading. Seems like wraith to me.

It was in an area with metallic/glass stuff based on the sound, so I’d guess kitchen. Take the camera and check for orbs. Can never be too careful. I just now realized why mimics actually always have orbs. If they don’t, then on little/no evidence runs, it will be impossible to have a surefire way of knowing it was a mimic without waiting for a few minutes for it to change its type

This ghost clearly roamed/teleported to you because there was a random EMF reading. There are 3 ghosts that can roam/teleport to you: Wraith, Banshee and Phantom. The Phantom when it roams to you would step in the salt and leave an EMF reading. The Banshee when it roams to you would step in the salt but not leave any EMF. The Wraith when it teleports to you would not step in the salt and would leave an EMF reading. Because you made a box of salt around yourself, the only way for the ghost to get to you was throigh walking in the salt. It left an EMF reading, which means it can't be a Banshee. It also didn't step in the salt, meaning it's not a Phantom. Therefore, the only ghost it could be is a Wraith as explained above, and it teleport to you using it's ability.

I took a para mic, smudge, and an EMF reader in with me to the chapel, the piano hiding spot being very clutch to my survival. Using the para mic I tracked the ghost from across the map, he was hunting near the courtyard on the female wing side; after the hunt ended I got an EMF of 2 almost instantly with no throws or interactions nearby me, no ghost event either which clued me that it was a wraith teleport ability! The objectives I had were to smudge the ghost during a hunt, cleanse the area, and get an EMF reading (hence me bringing in the EMF reader). Just a few moments later after the teleportation it hunted on top of me and I fumbled around hitting my smudge and reached for my camera just barely getting the frame perfect ghost photo during the hunt before barely making it behind the piano where the ghost couldn't see me.

When i was playing with a friend wrath teleported yo them and did emf at start of the game in master bedroom of Tanglewood but we already found ghost room in nursery with thermo they set up dots in master and wraith did dots there ! Even though nursery was room was a wild teleport interaction

Yes! And if you die within the first minute of entering, you get an achievement called Doom Slayer. Happened to me in a group at Grafton farmhouse. We entered and it spawned right on top of us and killed us all. We all got the achievement and we're super happy lol
