I love Nikko's soft plastic baits. Among the small baits, I love the caddisflies the most, although those mayflies do a great job, too. I have had very good luck with the crabs with crappie in creeks and bluegill in ponds. I put them on a collarless jig head around 1/24 oz and they have done a great job for me. In clear water, I like the clear crab with red flake. The red color crab is not that great for me, although I have landed some nice crappie on them. I prefer the other colors those crabs are available in (I have a pack of each). I think if you fish those crabs with small jig head in a creek, you'll do well. Maybe give them a try for trout.
