Still think you should try out the salmo hornet. It will become your new favourite micro crankbait ;)

The company who makes the helgrammite soft plastic is called Nikko. These things are SMALLMOUTH CANDY and can pull largemouth out if you fish them right. And they're CRAZY durable. I've had the same one on an ultra light rod/reel for the last 2 months and it's as good as straight out of the pack. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
@teamflanneloutdoors56315 жыл бұрын
They look dope- but I've yet to catch a fish on one.
@deanmeanmachine855 жыл бұрын
@@teamflanneloutdoors5631 where have you been fishing them?
@teamflanneloutdoors56315 жыл бұрын
MeanDeanMachine I’ve tried them in rivers and lakes, part of the problem in the rivers is the rocky substrate where the bronze are-need to figure out the correct jighead for a natural presentation without snaggage.
@deanmeanmachine855 жыл бұрын
@@teamflanneloutdoors5631 I've been using a weedless Ned rig. I've stuck to rivers more with this over the summer. The bite for it seemed to fade in lakes after May. I'm planning on taking it on a few kayak trips next spring. Hope you find your groove with it!

Can you use a mini vintage looking Baitcaster from ebay it’s around $12 and it’s a 3:3:1 gear ratio it looks super good for crappie or creek fishing but I think that would be a good challenge

You should try the Creme Lit'l Fishie minnow soft plastics. I've been finding them at walmart and have had good luck with them jigging under a slide bobber and are probably pretty good bottom baits.

Nick, are there any bodies of water in your state where you could fish for walleye or sauger? Probably one of the most challenging freshwater fish to catch, would be real good content for the channel, switch things up. Tight lines!

Tough "break" on that Ebay crank Nick😓. I'd think by now you'd learn to buy more than one at a time🤦♂️!! Def try out the micro cranks at bass pro and dicks! They've got great action and at $2 or $3 each, it's less of a hurt to the wallet if you lose em! Keep up the great work, fish on and tight lines! 🎣

When there's an abundance of small fish in a body of water, it's usually due to inadequate forage. They become stunted from not enough protein in their diet. This occurs especially in the sunfish family. The parks and recreation folks should do a population study and introduce native small fish like minnows or other species to foster better growth of the bass.
