Guy from Tokyo: Here we go! Ultimate technique: *TRANSDECENT ULTRA-SUPERLATIVE BRAKING!* Takumi: Haha, that’s cute (charges in without braking then proceeds to gutter run)
Let's not forget that Takumi is driving the car with no rear LSD...the understeer would be super horrendous, but then again he is racing against an idiot that does the worst thing by braking late into the corner and almost scraping the outside guard rail...the HICAS system on the S15 can't handle this kind of driving...
@Giliganism7 ай бұрын
Actually a LSD increases understeer because it resists turning when locked, and increases rear traction. But it makes oversteering much safer. The benefit to drifting or racing a car comes from increased traction on corner exit, and the transition to and from oversteer being more predictable by preventing spinning the inside rear independently of the outside rear. Without an LSD your likely to spin up just the inside tire on corner exit or when trying to drift, and if that happens when your already sideways the outside rear can suddenly grip up because the inside tire is unloaded effectively shifting all your torque to the inside tire. If your drifting that will cause you to immediately spin whichever direction your steering is pointed without warning.
@kouta273 ай бұрын
@@Giliganismdepends on how it is setup, it allows more wheel spin or less, more understeer or more oversteer, usually they are setup to have understeer in factory cars, race cars are setup around the driver

Either have itsuki briefly manage to pass the s15 with takumi in the passenger seat giving advice or give iketani his moment to shine as the leader of the akina speed stars.

The only way you can late brake in a car is to have seriously oversized brakes. I had an integra GS-R with a full Wilwood engineering front brake system. The set included 4 piston calipers, 12.5 inch 2 piece vented rotors and their own proprietary BP-10 brake pads. Catch was you needed 17 inch wheels to accommodate its size increase. On the local track by being able to brake later, shorter and way harder I shaved nearly a full 2 seconds off my time, and I was able to refill the brakes with a much higher temperature rated fluid. Was it worth the 650 bucks I paid for the upgrade? Absolutely

Not nearly as cool without the Crap talking that went on before hand (aka not really the full scene). Takami going quiet rage mode "Do you trust me? gimmie your keys!" .. Definitely sets the mood much better.
you see the funny thing is circuit and mountain pass are nothing alike. That's why your circuit honed braking didn't hold anything against a street racers braking who has been driving the mountain pass since he was 13 to deliver tofu for his dads business
This doesn't make any sense, the guy in the front is braking like mad so Takumi behind him has to brake too. Then the guy in the front goes full throttle with a Turbo and Takumi has to do the same thing in an under powered car. So how can Takumi keep up so close?
