The acts function as chapters, each act has three layers, act 1 has Limbo, Lust and Gluttony, and act 2 has Greed, Wrath and Heresy, each layer has four levels, except the third layer of each act which has two level, acting as the conclusion of the act and the segway to the next one. Act 3 only has Violence for now, although by next year we should be getting Fraud and Treachery, and with that the end of the game (as far as we know) almost every song has two versions, calm and combat, which switches from one to another depending on if there are any enemies at that moment yes this game is based on dante's inferno
