Running a 24-hour Race: How and Why?

Auburn One Day 24-hour Race 2020: is running on a track for 24 hours boring? Will you be insane by the end? What nutrition do you need? How fast can you run? How far can you run? What's the best part? I found my answers during those loooong 24 hours. Can't miss the last "fast" lap at the end!

UltraLeap After your race do you use the packaged protein drink, protein bar to recover or do you have a regular meal. Also, do you wait and how long to eat a meal, because the body creates lactic acid.

@@martyfowler3072 protein drinks are an excellent source of proteins, but I tend to eat real food as fast as I can, right at the end. I love races that have a BBQ at the end! The best way to flush lactic acid is to ... go for a run!

Great job Cesare! I enjoy getting your insights on the races. Seeing your longer 200's and facing rocky terrain, we cannot forget you are a fast runner and well trained athlete! You really smoked this if you think about it, you ran a few marathons, not many people are hitting those splits and in 24 hours 👍💪Congrats!

200 km is a lot! I think you should shoot for 115 km in the first 12 hours and then hang in there 😄
