This rod broke on me in two pieces a few weeks ago -- as I was landing a fish I held the rod improperly and it snapped in 3 pieces -- first rod I ever broke. So -- I dug out my wallet and ordered another from DanKung and it's being shipped right now. Live and learn -- and take care of the gear the way it should be taken care of - I learned.

what line were you using? I feel like 10lbs braid is okay, but 6lbs braid I got wind knots all the time.

I'm using Daiwa J-Braid x8 - not the Grand - 6lb - 0.06 diameter line ... the J-Braid seems to be the best for me and I haven't had any trouble. Some real purists use only 4lb.

I was using J braid x8 grand 6lbs, and 10lbs. The 6lbs just got wind knot with very little wind, I have used it on ML rod and SUL rod, both got wind knots with the 6lbs, and 10lbs performed really well, very soft and quiet line.@@JSturr

I've also heard that wind knots can be attributed to the Rod -- so maybe the rod likes a 10lbs. weight better etc ... @@Justin-zw1hx
