Great video, @@MNFishingUk; I just have one Q. Given you're targeting Pike as well as Perch, why not use a light wire trace of some kind, such as the DAM EFFZETT 7 kg/15 lbs - there may even be a 5 kg one, I'm not 100% sure. Basically what I'm saying is that I would be afraid of being bitten off if I were rigged up as you are in this video.

​@@NobleKorhedronI would have used some thin wire leader if i had any, but as the canal was very clear i ended up using some thin perch fluorocarbon, also there aren't many pike in this stretch of canal and most of them are very small.

VERY bad idea! That is what's known as a snap link; it makes changing lures very easy, without having to cut the line and re-tie every time.
