87 miles in 40 hours non stop, holy crap Sandy, that's an immense goal, best to you!

Good luck Sandy. Positive attitude and you will do fine. Amazes me when folks push the boundaries like that. Slightly more extreme is the likes of Pual Giblin a runner who smashed the record for racing Scotland's most famous long-distance path, the West Highland Way. Paul Giblin finished the gruelling 95-mile trail race in just 14 hours, 20 minutes and 11 seconds. Still find it hard to get my head round that one. Anyway all the best with your adventure. Ray.

All the best to you Sandy... Massive kudos for even attempting it. Hell, praise for even thinking about it . One of the most notable military forced marches ever made in our History was The Light Division's march to fight at Talevera in 1809, during the Peninsular War . They covered 250 miles in six days. You will be aiming at matching their mileage rate . Doing that for even a day , out of regular training, and past the 'early flushes of youth' will be a major achievement. Two days will be immense . Don't take this the wrong way , but those lads were a lot younger than you , or , certainly, me. Most of the buggers that were 'our' ages had probably been in the ground a while... There's no such thing as a fail here Sandy, only how much you achieve ... Power to the pair of you ...

tip once the final edit is finished - watch the whole video on a large screen. i call it "proofing" - any thing that needs fixing can be re done at this stage. then when your happy you can render. i often do little tweaks at this stage, little bit of music here and an overlay image there. put the effort and that little bit extra in and its usually works out fine in the end. roach had to re edit a whole video once because he had his name and address on a letter in the background. attention to detail mate ;)

I would require a portable defibrillator I think! Geez, that's a big challenge! There's a book called "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed who hiked the entire Pacific Northwest Trail alone. I think she was insane in a good way. What a book. As you can see, I'll read and watch the adventure and use my health issues as my excuse. Actually, it's valid. Roar to you, go get em!

I did the walk in 48 hours as part of a challenge when I was 18. I regretted doing it as I never got to see any of the scenery as I had my head down all the way. My knees were sore weeks afterwards.

Eat all your food at the first stop and it will make a good difference! ha ha ha. Good Sandy, I sincerely wish you well and however long it takes as your personal achievement it takes some beating! I realise you are much healthier than but it is still an amazing challenge given your previous walk along the same I walked 5 miles when my dads car broke down at well gone midnight, and this was way before mobiles., and it nearly killed me. I realise you are much healthier than I but it is still an amazing challenge given your previous walk along the same route.
