I thought "The Wandering Future" was a weird episode title at first, but after watching the episode, it makes far more sense. The future of Earth is still uncertain, hence it's wandering Last year's Firdran Armour had an underwhelming debut and felt disconnected to Gento and Blazar themselves, so I'm glad the Galaxy Armour avoided those pitfalls. It feels earned as a result of Yuma and Arc's renewed dedication to finding a new solution I like how despite packing quite a punch himself, Zadime isn't the two-parter's main threat, but a rival trying to use the Onyx' power. It's also nice to see Sweed trying to shield Zadime from the finishing blow, perhaps a sign that she isn't completely heartless

While Yuma is out for the count, SKIP takes note of the situation going on and Ishido decides against his orders to tell the team about Onyx and the truth of K-Day. Basically it's what Rution mentioned about the wormhole and how it was compressed and fell somewhere onto Earth. The GDF began searching for it before finally pinpointing it to Japan due to the higher readings and Kaiju encounters. GDF kept it under wraps because of the danger it carried and how it affected kaiju across the world. The Onyx as they call it having an ever increasing geomagnetic energy disrupted the Earth's natural geothermal magnetism disturbing kaiju hibernating on the ground. Eventually the Onyx was pinpointed towards Kitsunegamori Forest near Hoshimoto City which explains the rising Kaiju appearances. The Onyx has also been building up energy gathered from Sonia and has reached its' apex and is about to explode in a magnitude similar to that of a supernova. Sweed woke Yuma up in his dream to show him the truth that Rution had left out as a means to dishearten him from fighting back and later unleashing Zadime to break open the Onyx that was compressed. Rution through a mirror created a means for him and Yuma to talk normally. Rution confirms Sweeds words and of Ishido's findings while admitting he was afraid Yuma would lose heart if he did tell him that him compressing the Onyx was merely delaying a bomb that would eventually explode. Rution was afraid had Yuma lost heart it would mean losing Earth that has became what is practically a second home to him during the past 16 years as he learned about humans through Yuma and the more he learned the more the planet and its' people became precious to him and his mission to protect Earth had became not just a mission but his destiny and calling much in the same way as it does for all Ultras who descend onto Earth. Over time as Yuma thought about the future as he drew, Rution gradually regained his strength along with gaining a new form and powers to fight. In other words, Yuma's imagination truly IS Rution's strength and why all of the weapons and powers Arc uses are manifestations of everything Yuma had drawn. Rution thanks Yuma for bringing him to life and giving him something precious to fight for and Yuma despite Sweed's attempts to dissuade them resolves to protect Earth alongside Rution and thus they transform once more to fight Zadime. I do wonder how YouPi can sense Sweed's presence because when YouPi first noticed it shocked her and her not thinking much about it costed her freeing Arc from her restraint powers. Arc switches to his sun armor to knock away Zadime and close the distance between him and Onyx as it was about to explode. As Arc struggled to get close to Onyx, Yuma whom Rution has told to unleash his imagination for the past year tells Rution to do the same. In doing so, Arc dives into the Onyx and through his imagination made the energy gathered by Onyx into a new power of his own adding to the drawing in Yuma's notebook, a new armor that allows Arc to generate portals of his own and strength equivalent to many stars. With this new strength Arc destroys Zadime and Sweed who tried to protect it was taken along with it. With the Onyx now made into power wielded by Arc, Earth is seemingly saved. Unbeknownst to Yuma, Rution, and to everyone, a piece of Zadime's horn tore a spatial rift on the sky before it turned to dust. Sweed and Zadime might be gone, but with that rift, Ze Su has the means to resume his Galaxy Salvation campaign and more of his followers and kaiju weapons will follow and if necessary, he will show up. This does put into question what other means are available for Rution and his people to save their galaxy? Is it possible Arc's new Galaxy Armor that was manifested from the energy from Sonia and the Ze Su Gate within the Onyx can do something about it? In fact, can that rift work both ways? Last episode unveiled Arc's origins along with his reasons for being on Earth and this episode Ishido unveils his side of things to SKIP involving the Onyx along with the truth of K-Day and thus answering the questions that came up when the series began. Meanwhile from Rution's side of things brings about a prelude to a continuing onslaught from Ze Su and his followers who are likely just as hellbent on saving their home as Sweed was and pitting Rution against more of his own people from his galaxy.

So we've established that Arc isn't part of the established Ultra family. I wonder what would happen if someone from Nebula M78 showed up and noticed an Ultra they had never heard of? Hopefully, we get to see something like that in this series to introduce viewers who have only seen Ultraman Arc to the greater lore of the franchise. I'd be okay if they kept this apart from the rest of the Ultra series, too. This is probably the most accessible Ultra series since the original for new viewers. The decision to both put these on KZbin at the same time it's running in Japan AND have an official English dub drop at the same time was/is brilliant. The dub, IMHO, is one of the better ones I've seen. I'm usually a sub-snob, always preferring subs over dubs because the sub translation tends to be more accurate than the dubs but these dubs are pretty close. The voice work and the technical part of making everything kind of line up is also pretty good. This is the first foreign language series I've watched for a long time where I'm watching the dub out of choice, not because it's the only one available. I am a little disappointed that we're already getting another recap episode next week but I can live with it. They're good for viewers who may have started watching recently and don't want 10+ episodes to get up to speed with the current storyline. My only complaint is that they don't translate the end titles or the end theme song. For a production that does such a good job of translating everything relevant on screen during the episodes, not translating the end title sequence feels like they dropped the ball.

The Ultraman channel, which is available for free, should not be compared to anything else. It is as meaningless as comparing Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, anime, and other Japanese works that do not currently have English dubbed versions available on free channels. The most important thing is to know and respect who this work is made for. If you are familiar with Japanese, you will notice that the lyrics of the original version of the opening theme song include FURIGANA. This is a consideration for children. Yes, this work is made for Japanese children. Japanese children are not interested in who is making this work. That's why FURIGANA doesn't appear in the opening or end credits. So Japanese kids can't read it, but they don't care. That's how it was when I was a kid. And I'm sure it's the same for kids in English-speaking countries. As you say, adults can and will look up things they don't understand on their own, so there's no problem.

interesting, Arc's suit actor seems to be delivering the dialogue when he talks to Yuma 14 minutes in. you can actually see the suit moving as if the actor is inside it speaking. there was no reason to do that, they could've just dubbed Arc's lines in later. it's an interesting touch.

The Kaiju that appears as cameo in this episode is Takkong, Eleking, Chandlar and Bemstar. Cool, ARC got the new Armor, Galaxy Armor! Because this Kaiju appear two times in this series, so Zadime will be one of ARC's well known Ultra Kaiju 🤩! Despite Zadime role as villain, however in same time i feel sympathy about it because Zadime seems like don't want to kill by ARC, Zadime completely scared. Please everyone, this not final battle YET, still more to come. The next episode on next Saturday is just special episode more than main episode. So i must wait the another Saturday for main episode. Such an awesome relationship between Yuma and ARC, so fantastic series for my personal opinion 🥲.

The Ultra Series broadcast on this channel at this time is a Japanese TV program for children. The Ultra Series has a total of 25 episodes since "Ultraman Orb" in 2016. Since then, episode 13 (right in the middle of the 25 episodes) has been a recap episode. So episode 13 of this year's "Ultraman Arc" was a recap episode. And recap episodes other than episode 13 are special recap episodes and are not included in the total of 25 episodes. For example, "Ultraman Blazar" had a total of 25 episodes, plus 3 special recap episodes, for a total of 28 weeks. The reason that special recap episodes are broadcast is, first of all, due to the circumstances of Japanese TV stations. This year, in Japan, the "Obon holiday" was from August 11 to August 18. During this period, many households go out from the morning. Therefore, TV viewership in the morning decreases. Therefore, "Ultraman Arc" aired a special recap episode on August 17th. After this, Tsuburaya had the option of ending the story by airing the 25th episode of "Ultraman Arc" on December 28th. But is that the best choice? No, it is not. Because in order to improve sales of the final toy of "Ultraman Arc", the final episode should be aired in late January 2025. In Japan, there is a long-standing traditional custom called "Otoshidama". During the period from January 1st to around January 7th, adults give cash gifts to their children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
