Some clarifications regarding this movie: This is not a sequel to the original 1966 show, none of the characters in this movie are from the original 1966 show, everything is original. Ken Sato, Ken'sdad, and the baby kainu are all original characters made specifically for this movie. It has references to the original series, but it has nothing to do with the main Ultraman canon whatsoever. It's its own universe. The original Ultraman canon consists of Ultra Q, the original Ultraman show from 1966, Ultraseven, Return of Ultraman, Ultraman Ace, and so on. Another clarification is that Ultraman is not a guy in a suit that can grow giant, he's an alien. How he looks like "in his suit" is how he looks like biologically, in other words, he's naked. They usually merge with a human to exist on Earth, but they can also take on their own human disguise. This is because they can only exist in their true form for 3 minutes because of the Earth's atmosphere being incompatible with them. If you want to know what Ultraman is actually like in a single movie, watch Shin Ultraman. I've seen Ultraman Rising, it's a very beautiful movie, but it's made more for general audiences, which is why Ultraman acts more like a traditional superhero. Shin Ultraman is an actual reimagining of the 1966 show, so I recommend watching that, too.

Eiji tsubarya was the creator of ultraman. Prior to ultraman he did work on a few godzilla films as prop special effects artist. He wasnt the one who came up with godzilla
