Kotaro Higashi is a young man who had just returned to Japan after finishing a long voyage. He plants the bulb of a Tigris Flower, which is said to only bloom once every hundred years, that he had brought home from his voyage at a park. The bulb blooms into a batch of red flowers. However, they turned out to be the vampire plant that grows into Monster Astromons!

So, now Ultraman Taro is here among us. At the time it was implied Ultraman Taro was Higashi converted into an Ultra, hence the sound of a baby crying and the words of Mother of Ultra. But afterwards it was revealed that Ultraman Taro was a different entity who entered Higashi's body like the other Ultras so far (besides Zoffy and Seven). At the manga version by Ken Ishikawa, the Mother of Ultra was actually like the sun. She was a sort of divine being depicted as a gigantic energy ball. And the stories had a lot more of gore and darkness. The Lady in Green (Mother of Ultra, and her voice) was played by Mrs. Peggy Hayama, one of the greatest singers in Japan. She was married to Mr. Jun Negami, who was Captain Ibuki in Return of Ultraman.

Taro's origin was retconned twice lol, the head writer wanted Taro to originate from Kotaro, but they retconned it in the middle where Taro was already born before. The head writer didnt want that tho, which is why the last episode went back to Taro being originally from Kotaro. Kotaro's actor also didnt want to return in future series, as he believes that it would detract from the meaning of the final episode. This is also partially why Taro didnt appear in Leo, because the writer of Taro wrote the Ultra Key episodes, where he followed the "Taro not existing after the last episode" lore

@@diogoalmeida9200 Well we can just pretend that the heisei era starting from Ultraman Tiga didn't exist. And the Ultra brothers verse ended after Leo. Going by logic, Hayata human form shouldn't appear again in Mebius, since the human form is separated from 1966 Ultraman in the last episode. The fact they Tsuburaya wanted Taro actor to appear again in Mebius which he declined, shows that they have little care about plot integrity. And the fact the Taro could fight immediately after he is born shows he inherited the ability of Taro human form, and so it will be right to say Taro human form is Taro himself.

@@哥坤-s7o Wasn't Saburo wanted to appear in Mebius movie, it's just there are funeral of his close relatives and he can't make the time for shooting. There are even scrapped plans for Mebius and Ultra Brothers 2 which will focus on Taro rejoining with Kotaro but ended up as Superior Ultra 8 Brothers.

Taiga & The Absolute Conspiracy kinda throws this timeline into a mess - Taiga is supposed to be 4800 years old, so by the time Taro comes to Earth, he is already a father for millennia, but behaves absolutely immaturely to the point of getting scolded by his brothers. But in TAC, he returns home after his show to meet a still-good Tregear who shares with him about the Spark device that the two friends name the Taiga Spark. Tartarus only meddles after Tregear sees Hikari lose his mind, so it's almost like this show is not cannon anymore.

Taiga & The Absolute Conspiracy are from a different universe than the showa ultraman series. The heisei era Ultraman Tiga onwards are also not the same universe as the showa ultraman series.
