Is it equally as effective to just dump the oils in the top or in the reservoir, doesn't seem like that tiny oil tray is enough for that large water reserve...

Hello, I would only suggest putting essential oils directly into the water. I mentioned using Vicks, I would not use something like that directly in the water. I would use the sir inlet tray for that.

Hello, Things have changed a lot with ultrasonic humidifiers since this review, some you can even add essential oils directly into the water not just on a pad in the air intake. Just do some quick research on the web and each product usually states whether it is safe or recommended on how to use with the oils. Hope this helps.

If it is still putting out mist you are okay, probably just an LED burning out. You just won't have the blue anymore. If it is still under warranty you can contact customer support and request a new one.

Out if all honesty I don't know, I would read the manual that came with your humidifier. It may also depend if it's a cool mist or warm mist humidifier, and if the water has to pass through a filter or not. Best be safe and check your manual.

Hello, I don't believe that it is available anymore. But I know that this style of humidifier is available on other shopping sites like Amazon. Wal-Mart may have something similar as well.

Yes, just make sure you clean it out more often. Some water can leave residue.
