Thank goodness when I was pregnant I was working at the hospital. When I had my ultrasound, my Doctor claimed he couldn't tell at that time 🤷‍♀️ A Doctor at the hospital told me to hook up with him on a certain day and he would do a ultrasound 😂. The reason, they were planning a shower for me and the nurses and techs needed to know. I really miss working at the hospital ❤️

Both my parents work at the hospital, dad is in a higher position there. So when I went into have my son in March 2017, my rents didn’t want any of their coworkers to see my name and come up and “bother” us, so the hospital staff let me have an ALIAS NAME😂😂😂😂 That was so cool! I got to pick a new name and it was all over my bracelet and ppl were calling me by that name😂

no bc my mom is a ultrasound tech and out of her 15 years or so of doing it last month was the first time ever she told opened the gender when they said they didn't wanna know. She felt so bad, the second she said it her heart dropped and felt so guilty and felt so bad. They were so nice about it but you could tell they were disappointed by the way they found out. it was a boy btw 😭

I feel badly for your mom. It was an accident, shit happens. People get so bent out of shape and feel they have the right to make you feel 100x the amount of pain to “justify” the tiny bit of misery they will feel and get over. I found out about my twins genders on accident and for a split second, I was bummed, not mad. However within the next second, my brain said “two HEALTHY girls”. After that, I realized that the most important and positive thing was that they were healthy. Knowing the Gender was irrelevant and did not take precedence over health. It sucks that people are too entitled and spoiled to stop and focus on what really matters.

My husband was more involved with my prenatal appointments and ultrasounds for our first son but now he doesn’t go to anything because he is at home with our other 3 children. We are fortunate to have family around to help watch our children time to time, but some people don’t have that.

My last ultrasound we didn't even NEED the tech to explain gender. Though she did kinda jump back, laugh, and say "THAT'S a boy." When the images printed, there was a great shot of a prominent boy part and his finger pointing right at it.

My best friend was supposed to have a gender reveal party as she already had her first baby which was a boy and since it was her second time around (and possibly her last pregnancy) she wanted to do a gender reveal party. I can't remember what she said the call was but as she's on the phone with either a nurse or doctor the lady says 'yeah so she's doing great, completely healthy and fine' and my best friend was like 'she?' And then the lady was like 'yeah its a girl, did you not want to know?' And my best friend told her she was supposed to have a gender reveal party and the nurse felt so so bad. immediately after the phone call she called me and she said she was no longer gonna have a gender reveal because the gender was revealed to be a girl 😅 I felt so bad for her and she said the dr/nurse kept apologizing profusely but she tried to make her feel less guilty and said it was okay but my bf was in shock the whole call and couldn't believe she was having a girl 💗

Don't need no hints. I always know what I'm having before ultrasound and tell them I don't want to know. Then everytime I go in for an appt I refer to the baby as it's gender. There was a pregnant young lady at my kids elementary and people would ask her what she was having, she would always say she doesn't want to know. I would tell people she was having a girl when they would bring it up. She had a girl like I said. Then they would say omg you were right.

Man… my ultrasound technician was in a situation where she wasn’t even allowed to tell me the gender (in my province, some hospitals aren’t allowed to disclose gender because of fear that pregnancies with baby girls will get terminated. Only the family doctor can disclose. Yeah, what the hell Canada 😔🇨🇦) But luckily, the digital album I received a day later of the ultrasound had the chromosome symbol (either XY or XX) slapped across the bottom of certain photos. She must have thought I wouldn’t know. 😅💙
