I have actually tried the Vision Pro in person and it is FCUKING AMAZING!! All the KZbin promo videos out there do NOT do it justice at all. My most fav feature was the cinema feature to enlarge screens to like imax size and this new update looks to make it even better when linking to MacBooks !!

Watching this in my AVP with my MBP in Ulltra Wide and I have three virtual screens set up right now. The resolution of the display is amazing! In addition to everything else, the AVP is now also a $3500 set (at least 6 or maybe even more including AVP displays) of BATTERY POWERED 4k displays that you wear on your head. That's pretty mind blowing.

Dude! It’s insane how great this is. I’m loving it and it’s especially great for ultrawide gaming. Been playing some AAA games from Mac to Vision with virtually 0 latency. Wow!

I love mine, and at first I thought I didn’t think I would actually care about the wide or ultra widescreen. Then I had a situation where I had to have two screens next to each other to copy something from one to the other, and I had to resize the screens but one of them could not shrink down small enough because it had a fixed size. That’s when I realized wide or ultra wide would actually come in handy right now. It was a one off situation, but I do see the merit. I’m actually using mine right now while I’m making this comment on KZbin in Safari on 100 foot screen sitting at an EV charger. This is a really cool product.

This is a game changer as far as getting work done on the go and needing multiple screens! I don’t like the background color on the surround screen though. Not a big deal though. They still need to make it cheaper and lighter which I know is coming. I’m hearing 2k. I still think that’s little high for most people. I think they should offer a base storage at $1500 and go up from there.

This is amazing! Exactly what I would like to have to work with. I love that we can have visionOS apps running besides the Mac virtual display. So music and email can be the visionOS apps and then all the things that need to be run on the Mac can just be there too. This is incredible. The only thing missing then is nice games for visionOS, or maybe I am just not up to date with that matter.

I hope that now that Apple has “supported” first party monitors (even if as a part of Vision Pro) that are this large will make them realize that their new screen snapping layouts in Sequoia are too limited for large displays, with just the side by side view allowing resizing and only four windows being snapped at once. I use a 44” 4K monitor and would prefer more options.

The Ultrawide monitor is a killer feature. Still, it's a year salary in some countries. Not everybody is a rich American.

Boy do I wish for a day when I can take the Mac apps out of the ultrawide/screen “area” and float them anywhere I want. So I can run apps off of the Vision Pro or the Mac and it all seamlessly works together.

Some of it, yes. I cannot find the "wide/ultrawide" option anywhere though. But HOORAY! The audio finally comes out of the AVP speakers! Good job, at last, Apple! :-)

Yep I'm using this with Mac mini. You need to update to the latest macOS beta for the W and UW options to appear.

Do people remember the commodore 64? Remember it was a computer inside a keyboard and you needed a separate display? It looks like we're heading back in that direction. AR/VR glasses as wireless displays all we now need is a keyboard with the computer guts inside. Or better yet, an all-in-one AR/VR computer glasses and keyboard and mouse as wireless accessories.

This feature is definitely interesting, but how is typing on the vision pro?

It's quite reliable, either with eye tracking or physically 'typing' on the virtual keyboard. But for serious work it's not as fast as a real keyboard (which you can now more comfortably use as shown in the video).

It improves it but the studio display is still sharper, plus colors are slightly muted in vp

I’m looking forward to the new patents they have for haptic rings or a haptic ring and then there’s a glove that they just got a patent for that wall that’s gonna allow you to map out your environment and basically place widgets within your space.

Ti chiedo un consiglio, sono troppo indeciso tra 15 pro max e 15 plus, del pro max mi attraggono le caratteristiche impeccabili, l'unica paura è quella già nota del surriscaldamento che poi deteriora più facilmente la batteria. Del plus non è stato menzionato questo problema con quasi nessun utente, l'unica cosa che mi blocca sono i 60 hz ma mi ci potrei abituare(?), che non avrà apple intelligence non mi importa e le fotocamere mi interessa che siano buone ma non eccellenti. Trovato il 15 pro max 512 gb a 1289 euro e 15 plus 256 gb a 960 euro. Uso canva e picsart spesso e uso abbastanza tiktok da creator pubblicando ogni giorno, per il resto sono un utente normale apparte giocare a DLS 24 (gioco calcio online) e marvel snap. Tu che faresti tenendo conto di tutto? Grazieee P.s. sei una delle poche persone del settore che seguo con costanza 🙌🏻

Have been using it for about 24hrs and so far it's a gam-changer for me. It's great to use and with the audio pass-through playing back in the Vision Pro, it's much more immersive. Can't see myself going back to anything smaller. Also, yes the image in Mac Virtual Display is much sharper for me. On top of that, I can see myself using my Mac more than the native apps.

@ I never had any issues with comfort. I think that’s because I went to the store and they told me don’t wear the solo knit band for long sessions. It was not made for long session. Most people like it because it looks cool but the dual band is what should be used in those cases. People like not following manufactures suggestions so they complain.

Hey Dan - 2 questions if you don't mind: Can you use a mouse on these screens like normal - or do you HAVE to use the hand gestures? Also, can you still do multiple "spaces" (desktops) like normal on your Mac?

You can use your mouse with your Mac obviously but also can you use your keyboard and mouse for your Vision Pro apps too when connected Iike this. No hand gestures needed

Once you're within that ?100? foot zone you are not allowed to operate any "cameras or recording devices". The fact that the AVP is using cameras, even if you aren't "recording" anything, would put you at risk of being told to !@#$ off. I often get told to remove my shirt which simply reads VOTE NO ON YES! every time I go to the polls. People are stupid. And people who volunteer to run voting locations aren't raising that bar. ;-p

Hi Dan, I find this video to be a bit biased. If I take into account your initial critique, and the fact that you clearly stopped using the Apple Vision Pro, I doubt that a quick test is enough to determine the comfort and honestly judge the ultra-wide screen function. I encourage you to use it in production for a week before making another, more objective video.
