Harold Jarder I don't think you've read much Marvel Cosmic books. Read Annihilation Conquest with the Phanalax at his back he damn near took over the entire universe. Not to mention he took over countless worlds and drove the Kree, Shi'ar, and the Skrulls three of the most powerful fictional empires and countless other civilizations to near extinction. The Shi'ar has numerous Superman level threats on their side and even they all fell to Ultron. Even the Kree's tactical battle hive mind made up of the greatest minds in the Kree military and the universe for that matter didn't think he could be stopped.

Ultrons kinda a gimped mech version of superman is some ways so he would easily be able to escape a Prison like that and out maneuver/ overpower Brainiac even if he was shrunk. I really think it comes down to Brainiac's physical weaknesses if it's the organic body but I doubt there would be a equivalent material to the Admantium armor, enhanced speed and strength Ultron has. Ultron is a more overall balanced character compared to Brainiacs lower endurance and strength but higher intelligence. (I think my assumption here relys on adamantium not being able to be damaged by supermans strength if we're doing marvel physics.) Wasn't really planning on seeing the new avengers movie but this video peaked my interest again.

Actually you limit Ultron based on his creator, and his place of origin. Brainiac's knowledge comes from his universal travels over a time span of so many years. Ultron is a computer program that came from the smartest man on the planet, and was upgraded by knowledge of Alien Races from the future in one storyline, or an alien knowledge through all time. Either way His intellect would be superior to Brainiac. only his technology because it is earthbased would be limited, but not by much. Both Ultron and Brainiac suffer the same flaw they are both bound for vengeacne against their creators. The difference Ultron has no use for conquering other worlds save earth. Neither does Brainiac hence he destroys what he conquers so he doesn't have to learn anything new. Ultron doesn't do that because he has Tony's ego and he believes if he doesn't know he'll figure it out.

I agree with you on most of those points, but i have to say (even though i much prefer DC) the characters are just personal preference that decides whose better. Also, i have to say, movies is debatable, because they're very different and anyone could argue DC is better once again based on personal preference. Marvels recent movies have tended to be more light-hearted where DC put out the Dark Knight Trilogy which is much darker. And while i much prefer DC and am excited to see what they do with the new movies they put out, i'm not going to say which is better.

Hm I feel like Brainiac wins this most of the time because he's just WAY more knowledgeable. But Brainiac has a much wider variety of technology. I think the only way for Ultron to win is to emulate superman and prime all his mental capacity for defence against invading hacking. I could see him being quick enough to shut Brainiac down physically. But that would require Ultron to study Brainiac beforehand, otherwise I think Ultron would fall into the trap of approaching this fight on a hack-tech arena not realising just how much unknown factors Brainiac can throw at him there. The very thing you make him win with, is the trap he loses by. So my answer is Brainiac wins if they do not know each other, Ultron wins if they do.

Well here's the thing about Ultron's hacking ability, while he has been shown to take over any technology he wants via Wifi, the dude has never been able to crack vision (a robot he built) or even Tony's Iron Man suit for more then a couple minutes before they some how regain control. Compare that to Braniac who runs all of his stuff through his far more advanced mind, and Ultron's wifi hacking becomes laughable we are talking about the guy who in the current time line has taken over every communication satellite, and even hacked into the mind of organic hero's as Brother Eye. The fact is Brianiac's mind control is on another level then Ultron's and that's why I have to hand the win to DC.

As Ultron builds newer models, each being more powerful than their predecessors, his hacking also improves. He managed to assimilate an entire cybernetic race called the Phalanx, and there were so many he used them to conquer a whole star system run by the Kree in only a few hours. He also hacked an army of Adam Warlocks and every single Iron Man armor. At this point in the comics he’s just as good, if not better at hacking than Brainiac

This fight isn't as cut and dry as a lot of people make it out to be. This may be the most evenly matched match-up I've seen yet, I'd give both a 5/10 success rate. However, Ultron has the advantage in this poll simply because the movie coming out so it's quite obvious he'll win the poll. I'd pick Brainiac as the champion due to his strength, I do not think adamantium is a deciding factor here, but really the fight can go either way.

Brainiac has technichally avoided every reboot and incarnation of the DCU. Meaning when an anomaly occurs via crisis on infinite earths or infinite crisis, Brainiac has lived past it outside of time and space. Hoo boy I don't know if this battle was the best idea. At least not at this time. Have you seem the comments, Arris? It's a battlefield. Knowledge is being spread like wildfire, but so are insults of "DC fanboy" this and "Marvel fanboy" that. I just don't think now's a good time for Ultron vs anybody, since his movie's coming up and this battle might just turn into a popularity contest. I have absolutely nothing against Marvel or Ultron. I know the Age of Ultron is going to be good; the Avengers was amazing, and we all know how well-off Marvel is with other movies like Guardians of the Galaxy or Big Hero 6. But Marvel fans aren't just Marvel COMIC fans anymore. People often point out how "ignorant or biased or over defensive" DC fans are, but Marvel is very, very mainstream now. I'm going to assume a lot of people who watch VariantComics might not read the actual Marvel/DC comics, so they lack knowledge on the subject. As for DC fans, the animated movies do great but are more obscure to mainstream fans who prefer Marvel only for the movies. When I was little, I thought Marvel was darker. Now I realize that DC can be far darker than Marvel. Yes DC characters can be super OP, but their villains are OP too, thus making the DC heroes seem less OP and even normal. As for Marvel having more "down-to-earth" heroes, that's not always true. Look at Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, his immortality and his current dating position with Death. Brainiac and Ultron are both pretty OP as well, but their strength differs from story to story. I'm not insulting Marvel fans, I'm just saying that I see "you DC fanboys are all stupid" more than "you Marvel fanboys are stupid". This does go for DC fans as well, however. It's not nice, so please calm down, clear your head, and think before posting a reply. Can't we all have a civilized conversation without being at one another's throats? I don't care if I sound preachy, I'm sure most people agree that having your intelligence insulted is not pleasant. As for these VS videos, I really like your content, Arris. But I would recommend throwing out your opinion in the next video with reasons why. Having your influence on decision may mess up the voting a little. :I I honestly don't know who would win. That's a fair assessment. I personally have found lots of DC "fanboys" trying to put Marvel down, but it does go both ways and perhaps here, with Ultron as the perceived underdog, that Marvel fanboys might be more vicious. I find it sad, as I too enjoy both, although I have a slight preference for Marvel stuff in general. I think that Brainiac would win, as DC tends to have a much higher power level generally. Perhaps Ultron is a more even match than I give him credit for, but I am quite familiar with Brainiac and I doubt many things from the Marvel universe could really match him.

Ok you should redo this matchup with the new52 and convergence taken into consideration and it becomes clear ultron is a flea and is more of a match up with brother eye from new52 i Would still bet brother eye(which by the way was collected and contained by brainiac) would still win just because of his ability to wipe out all of earth's hero's and completely overtake that world. DEBARSHI goswami If by "solar flare" you mean the laser he fires from his forehead, that wouldn't really hurt Manhunter at least not very much. Manhunter is only weak to fire, which is mostly psychological weakness stemming from the trauma of watching his entire race die from a virus that caused any martian using their telepathy to die from psychic flames. But if you mean to say that Vision can fire super heated plasma that resembles a solar flare in appearance, that also wouldn't cause significant damage to Martian, super heated plasma isn't fire and so wouldn't trigger the sort of ptsd panic attack that would cause him to lose control of his abilities, sure he'd probably sustain damage but not significantly, you also have to realize the beams fired by Vision eat away at his energy reserves and each full blast would cause him to become considerably weaker, giving the Martian an opening to demolish Vision. The Vision is good, but not Martian Manhunter good.

The hacking argument is tough since that could really go both ways. Braniac is extremely familiar with earth tech and has been shown to mass hack technology in the animated series. It would pretty much be a fight between who was faster and who has the best defense. i think braniac would have this hands down since most ultron models are still only human tech.
