I discovered this song about a year or two ago through my rabbit hole of rare unreleased Neptunes tracks. It was a video of Pharrell laying down the keys for the song while Natasha was chilling with him and Chad in the studio. I gotta say, the second hand nostalgia I got listening to this was so strong I felt like I was reminiscing on something I used to hear on the school bus as a kid. It helped that Neptunes produced music soundtracked my childhood and early adolescence. Natasha deserved better treatment by the industry given how she carried for J Lo on Jenny from the Block. Nothing gave me the impression she was chasing that level of fame though and she seems to be enjoying civilian life with her family.
