The actor even looks like Grant as a young man. As to the ride, Grant was a brilliant horseman. In his youth he had been a wrangler and a jockey.. Never lost his love of speed. As President he took to riding carriages at high speed around Washington. He may always look stoic, but he was bottled lightning.
