Oh, also, Taha Aki, the spirit chief who was the first spirit warrior to turn into a wolf, did so by possessing or “sharing” the body of a wolf to communicate with other humans after his body was stolen. His rage after the false chief kills one of his tribesmen is too human for the wolf body and they transform together into a human resembling his spirit form. That person then procreates through the ages until later events when he chooses to take the wolf form forever after his wife kills herself to save the tribe and her youngest child. I believe much of this story is told in eclipse at the bonfire but the final explanations come during Aro’s conversation with Caius in Breaking Dawn.

For example, Stitch can be restrained and immobilized by things that applied more than 3000 times his own weight of force, and his physical combat abilities can be somewhat erased by ingesting a combination of a left shoe and macadamia nuts. Most of these strange weaknesses were revealed in Lilo and Stitch: The Series.

Um, actually Mike said the time lords were originally limited to thirteen regenerations. They were actually only supposed to have twelve. @eveescastle5866
@eveescastle5866 2 жыл бұрын
Also this retcons in Clasic Who as learned in Trials of a Timelord (I believe that's the title) we learn the Valeyard was supposed to be the final incarnation. Of course this is all thrown out the window with timeless children so who knows if we'll ever get another Valeyard story

@peterporkeristhespiderham988
@peterporkeristhespiderham988 2 жыл бұрын
Originally, timelords had 12 regenerations per regeneration cycle. The doctor used 7 to get from the first doctor to the eighth. He used 1 to go from McGann to Hurt’s War doctor. He used 1 to go from Hurt to the 9th doctor and another to go from 9 to 10. 10 used one regeneration to make a half human-half timelord version of himself (the metacrisis doctor or tentoo). Then, 10 used a regeneration to become Smith. That means he used all 12 of his regenerations and needed more regeneration energy to regenerate into Capaldi. Capaldi was the first regeneration in the new cycle. The regeneration into Whittaker was the second regeneration, so the doctor should have 10 regeneration left. Then, Chibnall decided to retcon almost all of doctor who history by claiming that the doctor has an infinite number of regenerations and is the timeless child. Like someone else mentioned, valeyard was also potentially retconned during New Who since he was supposed to be the last regeneration of the doctor… but that’s also not entirely true. Audiobooks have given us conflicting reports of how the valeyard was created. The brink of death hints that the valeyard was created by the timelords. Every dark thought implied that the valeyard just splintered off from the doctor before his final regeneration. The trial of the valeyard implies that the doctor was experimenting on how to break the regeneration limit when he created the valeyard (kinda like a clone). The Ultimate Foe (Tv episode) claimed that the Valeyard was between the 12th and final versions of the doctor (which could means that any of the future doctors could regenerate into the Valeyard). So basically, Um actually, Jodie Whitaker isn’t the thirteenth incarnation of the doctor because of the war doctor and all of the pre-Hartnell timeless child versions of the doctor. And um actually, timelords originally only had 12 regenerations (meaning that they can have 13 versions of themselves). And lastly, um actually, the valeyard is like the joker; the backstory always changes and isn’t consistent.

Right, Trapp seems to be mixing up "incarnation" with "regeneration". Originally, there could be thirteen Doctors, but the Doctor could only regenerate 12 times. Trapp calling the female Doctor the 13th "iteration" of the Doctor only confuses the matter more. That can be considered to be true as there only thirteen actors who have played a character calling themselves "the Doctor", since "the War Doctor" doesn't consider himself to be "the Doctor", abandoning that name because that's not who he is anymore. So, the part that was "wrong" could be considered to be right and the part that was "right" is definitely wrong. And being "limited" to 12 regenerations/13 incarnations might also not be absolutely true even in the original series, as the Master was offered a whole new regeneration cycle in The Five Doctors, though the fact that he was no longer in a Time Lord body might have been part of the reason why that was possible.

Um actually There are a lot of things wrong with the Doctor Who Question for starters it wasn't 13 iterations it was 12, but a new cycle was granted to Matt Smith's Doctor by the Crack in the Universe, folloiwng that there is Also the Meta Crisis with Tennant that instead of fully regenerating he instead poured his regeneration energy into his hand he lost in the Christmas Invasion, and Lastly you have John Hurt who is simply known as the War Doctor because he is the one who fought in the time war and didn't consider himself worthy to be called the Doctor. So by the time Matt Smith is the Doctor who is the 11th Doctor but 12th iteration and 13th reincarnation. It's very convoluted so I don't blame you, but it's still wrong.

UM ACTUALLY, Everyone has forgotten about the OTHER doctor who regeneration. During the 10th doctor's run, there is a moment in a season finale where he is shot by a dalek. Some thought that he would regenerate here, but he instead poured all of his regeneration energy into a hand that he lost in the first episode of his runnings. Including the war doctor and that extra regeneration of the Donna Doctor, that brings matt smith up to the 13th doctor!

And Paul McGann totally counts in the numbering as the Eighth Doctor. The Thirteenth Doctor is the Doctor's 15th body (or 14th regeneration) since the War Doctor and the Metacrisis Doctor (a time when the 10th Doctor regenerated into himself) don't get numbers even though the Doctor did regenerate into both cases.

@@GryphonBrokewing Two years late to answer you question, but yes and no. Yeah the Doctor was revealed to be the Timeless Child, a presumably truly immortal being from an unknown universe, but that doesn't affect the numbers. When the Timeless Child was forcibly regenerated into Hartnell's Frist Doctor, the Timelords erased their memories and artificially forced onto them a fix regeneration cycle that made them a regular Timelord. As seen with "Turn Left" and "The Name of the Doctor", the limiter that the Timelords forced on the Timeless Child made them mortal and therefore killable. It's still unknown if the "new cycle" that 11th was granted on Trenzalor really just gave The Doctor a new set of 12 regeneration, or if they just pretended so and simply removed the limiter completely.

@@GryphonBrokewing No problems. Also, because I realized after posting that this probably wasn't clear enough, while I said the details regarding the second cycle was still vague, the assumption is that it is just another cycle of 12 regeneration. The method used by the Timelords to forced the original cycle that Hartnell started was the chameleon device (used in series 3 to turn The Doctor and later The Master human), and we know it still hasn't been opened because 13th (played by Jodie Whittaker) got the watch back in the latest season, before throwing it unopened to the deepest part of the TARDIS and ordering the TARDIS to keep it away from them so it can never be open. The technicality that I want to correct myself on is that while we know for a fact that the memories pre-Hartnell are still locked away in the watch, we don't actually have definitive proof that her regeneration is still limited post-Smith. It is implied to be because of the watch being unopen and a few line of dialogue pointing toward that conclusion, but there's still nothing 100% confirming the new "12 regeneration cycle" post-Timeless Child reveal.
