I suspect the "Slowdown" of the bolt during full auto is due to the bouncing of the bolt catch. From the slow motion you can see that the bolt slows and stops mid-firing at roughly the same position as it locks back when empty. You can also see that the bolt release catch bouncing up and down significantly from recoil, so it could be possible that it bounces just high enough to lock the bolt back for a split second, and then resume firing. You can verify this by holding the bolt release catch down manually and seeing if the issue goes away.
@jackfwoodward4 жыл бұрын
Im only here to see how it handles in terms of magdumping and cooldown; I've owned the V1 version of this MP7 (umarex also) and let me tell you, it LITERALLY blows. bolt jams if the gas isn't powerful enough, magazines are prone to leaking, cooldown is unreasonable and can barely get through a full mag without those problems alone. From the looks of it, V2 seems to have had a few upgrades to address these issues, but thanks mike for the update on this version.

I had the same conundrum a few years ago: MP9 or MP7! But I only wanted to buy one of them, because I already had a P90 and I don't play a lot of CQB so I wanted to go with the most practical. After watching a ton of youtube videos that seemed to be the Tokyo Marui MP7. I'm still happy with that decision.

I'm planning to buy one mp7 of marui, could you please give me some feedbacks?
@sogerc14 жыл бұрын
@@fu3g0100 Actually just after I made the comment I had my first problem with the TM MP7, a corner of the internal metal skeleton broke off, where the pin pushes through. Actually sometimes I had difficulties with the collapsible stock so I believe this is a problem only with my gun (you wouldn't believe how much I attract faulty airsoft guns). I fixed it with some bison epoxy metal, but don't ask me if it will hold because my town is under lockdown and it's too cold outside anyway, so I don't know yet. Otherwise the only problem with the gun is it's trigger, it has no wall at all, it's just pulling on a spring. Also, before you go upgrading it because it's not accurate enough, first fire like 10 - 12 mags, it took mine that many BBs to get in shape, now it's pinpoint accurate at 30m (maybe I also needed that much time to get used to the gun). The hopup dial is a little stiff (as in I need a tool, very hard with my finger), and it can't hop >= 0.3g BBs. People keep telling that your nozzle will eventually break, but mine is still in shape even though it did way too much magdumps.Another thing that many people don't really care about it that it sounds great, I love it. What I also love is that it's CQB legal on green gas and can do a magdump on a cold spring/autumn night. Mine has only seen green gas but I've never used it in hot weather. I'm not sure what else to tell you, ask me if you want to know more.

I am unsure of why this would happen because there is a spring that holds the bolt catch in the downward position, but I suppose it could be too weak or is misplaced.

the issues that you spoke about seem like minor fixes or a settling rifle, the bbs falling out is usually a bucking issue but as you said it settled down so hopefully that fixed itself as for the other it seems like you need a stronger nozzle spring and the fire rate would go up and stabilize. I know it sucks that you might have to mod a gun out of the box but thats the sad truth with gbbs theyre never made perfectly for the price
@kobi63696 ай бұрын
I had that issue with the dripping out BBs whet i first tried it out. The problem mainly occurs when the hopup is set so low that it has no contact with the BB. I can imagine that when the hopup is set very low, the BB is pushed past the hopup by the momentum of the slide. with a well-adjusted hopup, this problem no longer occurs because the hopup holds the BB in the chamber.

My guess on the low velocity shots in semi is that the BBs aren't being held in place properly at the breech end, and you're getting a lot of blow-by. In full auto there's only a fraction of a second for the BBs to roll down the barrel.

I had the version one and never had any problems with it using nuprol. Had a few less performance if I used eliteforce or sone weak ass gas like that. A few jams here and there and obviously cooldown when full auto, as expected with GBBRs. The major let down with this GBB is that THERE ARE NO F@&#% MAGS ANYWHERE!!!!! .... good luck getting mags
@corkbulb289512 күн бұрын
I don't think the gas piston (nozzle? cylinder? the thing that pushes the bolt back when firing) is supposed to bounce around like that while firing. I've seen other slow motion videos of GBBRs firing and the gas piston doesn't bounce around anywhere near as much. It looks like it is almost being bounced back and fourth by a spring or something. I have no idea why it is bouncing several back and fourth cycles after each shot on full auto but that is definitely not right. Maybe you should upgrade the gas piston return springs? Have you field stripped it? Maybe they are broken. I'm feeling a bit better about impulse buying a Tokyo Marui MP7 GBB SMG without researching other models. I haven't fired it too much but so far I have not had one single issue, jam, or misfire. And I can hit a soda can with the thing almost every shot at 40 feet. I use HFC134a out of it because I don't want to break it. I'd rather have lower velocity and recoil in return for flawless reliability and accuracy. Rate of fire is about the same as the Umarex one you've got there, except my TM MP7 always works and probably always will. And yes it always locks the bolt back on the last shot, even if you dump the entire magazine in full auto with one trigger pull. HFC134a is less dense than propane and does not cool down nearly as much as propane or other more powerful gases, and another benefit is it works properly at lower temperatures, and warms back up much faster if you have a large reservoir. Seems like every non Marui GBBR and GBB SMG has some issue or breaks after 1000 rounds. My favorite is GBBRs that lose functions like single shot or burst fire after firing enough, and only fire in full auto. People literally have stashes of certain spare parts to replace after they break. If spare parts are on your airsoft weapon's maintenance list, you have the wrong weapon. This is one reason why I never bought GBBRs back in the day. 10 years ago. GBBRs have not come very far in that time in terms of reliability and durability. I've seen so many posts from people who say they play airsoft with their GBBR until it breaks. Then they go home. Or they bring multiple GBBRs and switch them out after the first one breaks. GBBRs and GBB SMGs break. All the time. What is so hard about making these types of weapons more durable? Why don't they use steel functioning parts and charge a bit more money so their weapons actually last more than 1000 rounds. I've been watching reviews hunting for a GBBR or GBB SMG thatI like and doesn't have some kind of major issue(s) but so far it seems like something like that doesn't exist.
