Umbagog Lake | Remote Camping

and we are back.... This was our fourth weekend in a row camping and what an epic trip this was! After waiting for more than a year, I was finally able to go out and set up my tent in the wilderness of Umbagog Lake.
Umbagog Lake State Park is one of the most pristine wilderness lakes located in New England. It offers a excellent beach area for swimming, fishing, wildlife viewing, kayaking, and boating.
I booked a remote campsite in the lake back in 2020 but was not able to execute it due to changes in regulations thanks to COVID. So this camping trip was even more especial for me, and the people involved made it a memory for a lifetime. This year too the event was in doubt because of hurricane Elsa and the rain it brought, but we decide to go for it and see what nature had for us. It was pouring heavily but we started early morning on Friday. After driving for nearly 3 hours we reached Umbagog Lake State Park. Our campsite was remote, meaning it was only accessible via boat. Well rather than typing here I'll let the video do rest of the explaining.

we were there for 3 days and we experienced all sorts of weather. First it was pouring heavily, then we got some bright sunlight, and the other day started with thick fog but no complains as we'll be cherishing our time there for years to come. Hey! How did you reserve the canoes and Campsites. We are trying to plan this trip but cannot seem to find a reservation website for the canoes.

You can book the campsites via Reserve America's website and canoes can be rented on the day of your tip through their office there. The campsites gets sold out pretty early in the season so you might want to hurry up.
