Vanya hit her head on the concrete after Sissy hit her with the car. Vanya went back to the house because she couldn't remember anything. The hit on the head, after falling from a time portal, when you still unconscious....definitely not faking it. Also, the gunshot broke her concentration to listening to her own heart while she was under the sway of her powers. She didn't have the capacity to stop on her own. The sound of a large gun going off directly by your ear, can cause that type of eardrum damage and tinnitus, plus all that energy exploding from her little body wore her out too. So, she just passed out.
