I have this phone, I've had finger print issues where it would say "finger print hardware not available" or something along the lines of what where the sensor would stop working in general, also, Everytime i removed my micro sd card the phone would seem to format all the data on the micro sd card everytime inserted so beware of that. Otherwise, the battery life is the best. Camera is mediocre, i find the features very bland, and audio is choppy when volume is turned up all the way. But i would say it's worth it's price. Thanks for the review man.

Got my F1 for $190.00 with a $30 discount at Amazon. This phone is replacing the Huawei Mate SE that I bought a few months ago, although a great phone Huawei is not providing the code to unlock the bootloader so root is no no. The Umidigi F1 has been working great, photos and video are good enough for me, I can't find any bloatware which is great, finger print sensor takes a few tries but it's fast, charging is crazy fast and the battery lasts good 3 days with light use. There aren't that many options in accessories like cases or screen protectors but at least the phone comes with both installed. The phone in general is pretty fast and works great for me but best of all is that it can be rooted so there's so much possibilities to make this phone even better.

I have had it for a little while now, it´s main components which made me purchase it were the battery and NFC, both work in excellent fashion. I find the camera to be mediocre at best and below par when comparing it to the Redmi Note 7. Sound will get distorted if you try to listen to rock and more guitar heavy focused music at higher settings but overall it functions adequately. I am very happy with my purchase, got it on a flashsale for 190 dollars at Gearbest. It serves my needs perfectly. As for yours I don´t know, you might want a better camera but lower battery life, there is plenty to choose from out there at the 200 dollar price range.

Umidigi F1 looks like a Motorola G7 Power / G7 Play competitor (consumers have more choices, I 🖤 that!). I would definitely get a case for it. I like the the matte colour, but I 🖤 the black finish on the Motorola G7 better and I've already said the G7 white version looks like an awesome Cadillac (but you can't gripe for $220, you can't appreciate the fact that budget phones are getting better specs). 👍

Open Camera app works on any Android phone, but on my S2 Lite, only improvement is shutter speed, which can also be minimized in Umidigi settings as their default setting is somewhat slow.

I just recently won an F1 and it was delivered Sunday. I've taken pictures with it and haven't noticed any issues with the camera. The fingerprint sensor is a bit iffy at times though. Using my Bluetooth headset is louder without the equalizer on. It's also a pain to make a playlist with their music app so I installed BlackPlayer which is on my Motorola. I'm not that big of a fan of the color red but the matte finish seems to work. The case that came with the phone feels good and it feels like the phone doesn't have a case on it. It also doesn't have Dark Mode or home screen looping.😢

Most satisfying smartphone purchase I have ever made. I got this for $190 from aliexpress and feel like it was a steal at that price. I am disappointed in the camera but hopefully that can be made better through software updates. I did get improvement by using third party camera app. If you are on the fence about this phone, jump off right now and buy it.

Have you had that phone for a while? I noticed Tech Right's was still on January security patch, which that phone appears to have been on for months. The knock on Umidigi is they don't update their phones often. I'm hoping that starts to change. You get any updates?

Metal backs don't work with NFC, but glass does. The Umidigi has a glass back. It's supposed to be better than the One Pro. And that phone has a glass back.

Came from an Essential PH-1 and I have to say, this is an amazing phone for the price. Only gripe: not enough cases out yet. You will get the halo when using tempered glass protector on this. I'm waiting for a good case with built in screen protector.

4G in the US, but not LTE. Might as well get a used Pixel and you'll have a serviceable phone with a top camera. The huge battery on this Umidigi is impressive though as well as the price.

For the people wondering if Google Camera works the answer is no. Downloaded the APK and the app crashed everytime I tried to open it. I use Open Camera and it helps with a few more options on settings and stabilization. Hoping they put out an update to fix the software..

@@waxdoe115 it is a good phone but I exchanged it for the s3 pro. I wanted more RAM and I wanted the ceramic back.. as far as the s3 goes. It is a fantastic phone. Had it for about 2 months and it runs very smooth. I like it better than my note 9. I've had no slow downs. It takes good pics. And pubg runs very well on it. I've had very few dropped calls, I'm a truck driver so I'm all over the place so I hit dead spots every now and then. But if I'm in my coverage area I never have dropped calls.. wifi works great no problems connecting and the hot spot works great. Any other questions I can help with just ask.... [e-mail].

F1 Play has a bit better specs (6GB ram, etc) and costs only $199.99 on Aliexpress (official store that Umidigi uses). 100% worth the money.

Only 64 GB ROM in F1 Play (F1 has 128 GB ROM) so if you want to utilize a 2 SIM configuration you limit your storage to probably 52 GB in the F1 Play verses 117 GB in the F1.

I got this phone 2 days ago and it's amazing. there is a couple things i don't like about it but nothing that would make me return it. Just some things you have to get used to. One of which is the power button is right below the volume down button so sometimes click the wrong button. Pictures are amazing and for speedtest i git 234 download and 24.5 upload. ran several tests and all were about the same. my stylo 4 got 116 download and 21.3 upload. wish i could add another row of icons on the homescreen. would loved to have notification light on it but there isn't one. not a deal breaker though. Oh and got the black one for $199.00 unlocked on amazon. Waiting for your Tips and tricks and camera videos. Hope to see them real soon.

The Helio P60 isn't a flagship processor, mate. The Snapdragon 845 and 855 outclass it handily. It's score of 130k is decent, but only half the score of most 2018 flagships.

@@Cantripping the F1 play has 6 Ram with a Helio p60. The Ram makes up for the processor. It's still a good processor. The S3 Pro has a P70 processor with 6 Ram. Flagships are overrated af. My complaint with the umidigi is the camera software.

This phone is bad, it has a significant multitasking issue, I've had the phone 2 months and about to replace it, the hardware is great but they have written far too aggressive code on running apps. You can tell when jumping between apps that it does in fact reload instead of actually have it running. This is especially annoying if you have a comment ready to go in say facebook, switch between a couple of apps and its nuked the comment on your return. I have the Umidigi S2 and this DID NOT have the issue. grrrr

Well, the phone died after 3 weeks of me using it, also had a problem with camera, sending photos by SMS and had to charge battery every 2 days, really not worth it. To top it off, we are playing words with manufacture. I bought direct from them on pre-order. Not reliable brand. Looks like it is garbage now and no money back!

Because NFC Tags work by electromagnetic induction, metal can easily interfere with their operation. NFC Tags can never work behind metal and if placed directly onto metal
