It is only necessary to remove the back cover and unscrew the screws to remove the upper part covering the mainboard. After that, carefully separate the glued battery and glue a new one to the same place.

Im having issues with the loudspeaker , the sound goes low on its own. If I tap it a few times it goes back to normal , any tips on how to fix this issue? Could it be a dirty connection?

Hi, many reasons, but we incline to that a bad connection may be your case. Try to clean contacts/connectors and reconnect the connectors.

Hi I have the same problem with mine. I think it is a software problem. Discharge it and next day, I charge it and the microphone was back.

@@bjoern.lindeberg667 I think all Umidigi F2 phones have the problem of the speaker not working all the time. It is a software issue that Umidigi refuses to fix. If they supported their phones Umidigi could be a real lplayer.

Do you have to do all this to replace the battery only? And, for an expert how long should it take to replace a battery. My phone is still working but it feels like the battery is expanding inside the phone. Have you experienced this happening before? Thank you. JK

I have 3 umidigi phones and all are experiencing battery swelling. These phones are cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. Remove the battery before it breaks your screen.

@@rhelouin I changed the brand to cubot and after 6 weeks the phone shut down due to overheating problems. Changed again to ulephone and it's ok since September. I will not pay Samsung prices. I'll take the battery out to save the screen, thank you for that advice.

I have gone to Google Pixel phones (about half the cost of Samsung). Motorola is another fine budget choice. My Umidigi S5 Pro is a great phone but the microphone volume is too low due to software but Umidigi will not correct the problem. Lack of upgrades on Umidigi's part is unexciptable. Xiaomi makes great phones but seems to have a problem including all the bands for the United States.
