They most likely prioritize projects like these Because Kathleen Kennedy and Leslie have dirt on Hollywood executives. Considering the ties to Weinstein and the ties to Lucasfilm and Spielberg while having started as assistants this is the most likely reason. Especially since it actually holds true and good to the “when I left I was the apprentice” as Obi-Wan beat Vader again, so hence still inferior. In fact there should be a 2nd season so that Obi-wan completes his research and homework Yoda assigned and show him speaking with Qui, and showing why he didn’t show up at the end of Return of the Jedi with Anakin, Yoda and Obi-Wan. As that wasn’t fully covered in season 1. Other then that. Nothing else.

I just watched episodes 3 to 5. So the chanting was cringe, but now I realize it wasn't really as bad as it was brought up to be. Now I'm more interested to see this until the end. Unfair to judge a season before it’s over?! Do you not remember network television when shows were cancelled midway due to poor ratings? If a series cannot make episodes interesting enough to inspire people to want more then they are failing. If a show with a built in following is alienating that following then it is failing. Most of them seem to just be commenting on surface level shit like Mundi, fire in space, and having a coven of all female force users, instead of dissecting the acting, plot, story, visuals, sound design, etc. The show does suck in tho when it comes to some acting moments, story, plot and especially pacing, but it's hard to find star wars channels that actually try to be fair and critical as most are emotional reactionary culture vultures these days.

I would say Sol and the main bad guy do a solid job of acting, but the lead lady Amandla Stenberg gives a HORRIBLE performance which is not helped by the even worse script that gives neither of her characters anything to do but contradict themselves. I hate both those characters, which is not good since those are the two leads.

Kenobi was also a dumpster fire, except at least it resolved anakin and obi Wan. The fights were almost as bad as the Sequels so that wasn't going for it. At least this show, despite being worse overall, actually fixes both lightsabers (they kill now) and the choreography.

Nazi propagandists found an exploitable breach in the TLJ and TRoS flops (IMO they were bad, mediocre at best, and manipulative propaganda usually exploit slits of thruth and legit grievances to create new interested ones) so they could open another front on the "Culture War" after GamerGate and it has snowballed to this.
