While there isnt a rule that says a player or manager cannot be unejected, there are no rules or guidelines to allow a player or manager to reenter a game in progress. Ejection rules state that a person removed from the field-of-play cannot return, and must remain in the clubhouse or leave the park/stadium. (Paraphrasing)

There was a SINGLE time an umpire reversed his call. The Angels were in a slump, save for one player, and they decided as a team to ONLY use his bat. After the first Angels batter struck out, he left the bat at the plate, which caused the Ump to toss him. The team came out and explained they werent trying to show him up, but that they were all going to use the same bat, so they simply left it at the plate. The umpire was swayed and reversed his call. I do believe the Angels won that game with everyone getting a hit.

You guys hit the main point on the head, no one truly knows what the rules of racing really are anymore.. we see drivers getting forced off track, moving in the braking zone, collisions, not giving other drivers room, etc and the majority of the time there’s no further action while other times there’s random penalties.. I don’t think anyone honestly knows what the F1 driving standards really are and I feel it results in more erratic driving..

Not gonna happen. If a player really goes after an ump, they are getting banned for life along with criminal charges. In spite of the vast sums of money these guys make, few can afford to stop being paid, and none of them want to risk a prison sentence. MLB and the players union need to bring the umps in line. Personally, if MLB wanted to provide redemptive fan-service they would allow both managers to throw an ump out at least once a game if they do not like the job that the ump is doing. You'd probably have to have something in there where it couldn't be pre-emptive. It would be interesting though if it wasn't because Angel Hernandez type umps might suddenly lose the ability to get paid.

NBA has had the same issue with refs trying to make themselves the center of the show, been happening for quite awhile. You can't even look at an opposing player after making a basket or you're instantly getting a technical foul, which comes with a fine for anyone unaware. Umps please chill out. All will be ok.

I blame the MLBPA for the unnecessary power MLB umps have. They're unwilling to negotiate this in the CBA. As a result, the owners/MLB give unrestricted control to the umps. Players only have themselves to blame.
