Just model umpires as cops and you'll see why their puny, egotistical brains are incapable of demonstrating humility in any mistake they made. “Sure the guy has an alibi and the prints and DNA don’t match but my gut tells me he did it. So he did it. Obviously.”

@Results Hazy It's wild that MLB didn't do something to fix that since there are so many elections over little silly ass things and simple misunderstandings that these umpires seriously need to be held accountable for. Why? Because that's the fucking sport, if you want to remove the refs, just make a new sport without refs and call it idk, Yeetsball. You don't understand that to the players, the refs are PART of the experience, for the audience too. The arguments, the wrong calls, hell, jomboy probably has to be grateful for bad calls from refs for a large part of his viewing platform. I don't understand this advocacy for removing umps, it's like trying to just remove rules and parts of a game you particularly find disagreeable, but missing the reason why those parts were deemed necessary to the game for so long at this point. Had a similar call playing soccer. Never had a card at all in my career. This one cup game we were playing with a ref who seemed to like giving cards, there was already like 5 yellows and 2 reds for a game that wasn’t even very aggressive. In extra time I go for a bicycle kick to clear the ball out of our half (and realistically end the game) yet one of the other teams players decided to dive out of the way for some reason. I didn’t even touch him and the ref decided to straight red me. Everyone was booing the ref and the coaches even went to talk to him as it was so ridiculous and my club after the game made a big stink about it as it was so ridiculous. The ref was so embarrassed and didn’t want to accept fault on the bad call that in the report he greatly exaggerated the events and said I went to kick the player in the head. He proposed the league give me a 10 game suspension and everyone including me was appalled. Ended up going to the league hearing and even the league said they believe me as I had a flawless track record but since it was basically minor leagues and they didn’t film the match they had to take the refs word but best they could do was reduce the suspension to 5 games. That ref ended up getting fired like a month later but still that’s the only card on my record 😂

The thing is, in this situation it's funny. But what if that happened in the World Series or something. It can have real world effects. @@johnwayne9828 It's definitely a principal thing. It makes sense, because if you start allowing people to change their calls on an honest mistake, what is stopping dishonest mistakes? Changing calls after a game is over is pretty serious and sets a really bad precedent.

@Alex Davis maybe a hundred years ago when there wasn't dozens of high Def cameras on every play that now show us pretty clearly how bad some calls are. Football gets calls reversed all the time, it's better for the fans and athletes to know that human error can be ruled out, in terms of officiating at least.

@@alexdavis4043 dude, every other sport overturns officials. Mlb needs to do the same.

The worst part is he (the ump) didn't have to speak to the media after the game. I would have liked to hear him take questions and explain himself.

I don’t know all of the rules to baseball, but is there ever an option where the umpire can say: “Sorry you’re not ejected” and allow the player to keep playing? None of this makes any sense to me. It was a simple accident.… Also, Jomboy your channel is awesome. You have the best lip reading, and breakdowns around. .

This has to be THE WILDEST ejection ever. It's crazy how the catcher got tossed for nothing. I still in disbelief that the ump was so quick to get rid of him
