My condolences on your father. He raised a great family. I lost my grandma January 13th. She waited to come home from the hospital to sit out on the porch.. It is so bittersweet I miss her but I'm happy that she's at peace and is no longer suffering from the many terminal illnesses she had. She's the strongest woman Ive ever met. Always had a great story to tell all the way to the end🥹

I know that exact feeling when the number things going wrong start to stack up on you, and you can't seem to get ahead of them. I always have to take a step back and just make a mental checklist and start from the beginning and work my way out through to the end, very methodically. You got this, Ike!

I've never seen you get frustrated before on camera. Now you're human and of course it's going to happen but I've not seen it on camera. It was actually nice to see that you are not an alien and actually can get frustrated like the rest of us :). I will say that you handle it MUCH, MUCH better than probably the bulk of us viewing your vids. No air miles on your tools, no busted windshields or dented fenders lol. Actually I'm not quite that bad anymore but I use to have little baby fits when something would just not work and I had tried several times to make it work. Love what you're doing to the Envoy as well. I think it's a cool project and will be a shit ton of fun when you're done with it. Thanks again for the fantastic content both on here and Cars And Cameras. It's always a blast watching.

"air miles" I've tossed a wrench or 2 across the garage myself once or twice. Then there was the grinder, maybe a few ratchets, considered heaving my welding machine a few times. Yeah we've all been there.

@@NubsWithGuns lol so true. I'm 52 and grew up during the time period when video games became available for home use. Albeit very archaic but at home none the less. Many, many, many joysticks and controllers acquired many air miles and then us young kids graduated to tools lol.

@@NubsWithGuns One thing that I very much regretted throwing many moons ago was a huge pan full of bolognese sauce. I was finding tiny bits of it still months down the line. Obviously I wasn't working on a car at the time because that would be 1. plain weird 2. beyond my multi tasking capabilities and 3. it would make me a "perfect" woman... and as we know they don't exist ! ;)

@@NubsWithGuns Yeah...I've thrown wrenches too, but it's also mostly brake line fittings...and my flange-maker. Man, hard lines on old trucks, especially in the Midwest? Those are so gosh darn frustrating. I had to use steel line, too because Autozone/O'Reilly's didn't have any 3/16 copper-zinc lines. Either way, I agree. We've all been there lol

So sorry for your Loss to your Ike and your brother there on top of the family in general man. It definitely sucks to lose your old man, I just lost my mom and dad this year only a few months apart....... So I definitely feel your pain and loss of a parent. Otherwise good luck with your GMC Onvoy project Lol. I've been seeing lots of people taking their original inline 6s from these and slapping on a turbo and these things make some sick HP #s cheap and reliably! Just a FYI. The inline 5 I had in my 04 Colorado Extreme with a manual 5 speed was built by Isuzu for GM and everything was indestructible! I beat that poor truck since first sitting in its seat at the dealership lot and with almost 200k later and being street raced almost on a daily basis at some point, all I ever broke once was the damper springs in the clutch. That's how I found out it was all Isuzu parts when I did the new clutch. Hands down the most bullet proof and reliable GM product I've ever owned! Unfortunately GM probably figured out where to cut costs and have been looking for engineering Obsolescence to take place just in time for the warranty to expire! 😮 Na, they'd never do something like that??? SMFH! Criminal MoFo's man! I was a technician for Saturn and saw the products first hand on what GM was capable of producing! Was stomach turning sh1t! These brand new vehicles off the delivery trucks were leaking antifreeze and sometimes oil through their garbage cheap aluminum castings. They'd leak literally through the aluminum and their service flash on each and every PDI was to add a bottle of Barrs Leak to the cooling systems. Never saw such a hack in my life! 🤢🤮 since then my GM outlook has been going south! They're a shell of a company anymore and their products for the money they're charging is absolutely crap anymore! They can all suck it hard at GM these days 🖕🖕😘

Totally understand your frustration , for me I don't have a lot of time and when I have a vehicle down , it's really stressful to have something to not work out and have to let something sit till I can make the time to resolve the issue, it's taken me a long time to almost have my transmission done so I can finally install it , with family, work and everything else I have going on it's difficult to stay on and complete things like I want to , but that's life. Just gotta step back and roll with it more often than we'd like to ,. God Bless and hope you don't let the daily struggles overwhelm you.

Left you a comment on the CR500 build you are doing. Those Keihin PJ carburetors have their own unique way of adjusting the idle. There is no idle screw like you guys are used to, you turn the knob on the choke lever to adjust the idle. Look closely on the carburetor under the choke plunger and it's written there on the carb body. In your first video from months ago when charles was cleaning the carb it appears you are missing the top of the choke plunger you would normally turn to adjust the idle. Not sure if you tried that yet?
